Welcome.
In today's practice,
We will be tuning into two different,
Yet very complementary states,
Flow and strength.
Flow is defined as moving smoothly,
Fluidly,
And with continuity.
Strength is defined as having power and durability.
The ability to go with the flow of life and feel rooted in our strength makes for an excellent pairing.
Today we'll be tuning into both of these states and experiencing the gentle and powerful complementary senses of flow and strength.
So first make sure that your body is as comfortable as possible.
You can close your eyes if they're not already closed and just begin to give your body permission to relax.
As you breathe naturally at your own pace,
Imagine what relaxation feels like.
See if you can really give your body permission to relax.
Allow your muscles to relax.
Really allow your body to feel the support of the surface beneath you.
Notice all the places your body is being held and supported.
And let your body sink into that support even more.
Let your mind be open and clear like you're airing out a room.
Airing out any lingering thoughts.
I'd like you to call to mind something that conjures up a feeling of flow.
This could be the gentle flow of water.
It could be a bird or a butterfly in flight.
Or a gentle breeze.
An image might come to mind or you might get more of a sense or a feeling of flow.
Just go with whatever comes up when you think of flow or going with the flow.
And I'd like you to really feel that inside.
Imagine that you are in flow.
Perhaps you can imagine what it feels like to be flowing water or to be in flowing water.
Or to be in flight like a bird or a butterfly.
Or you might simply get the feeling of flow inside your body.
And notice what it feels like.
You can bring in any of your senses like what you see or hear or feel.
Or you can just bask in this feeling of flow and fluidity.
Going with the flow.
And I'll give you a moment now to stay with this feeling.
I'll give you a moment now to stay with this feeling.
Now,
Let's tune into the feeling of being in your strength.
Perhaps an image of strength and power comes to mind.
Like a strong animal.
Or a sturdy tree.
Or a mountain.
Or perhaps you can feel or sense what being in your strength feels like.
If an image came to you,
You can try that on.
Maybe it's feeling rooted,
Grounded and sturdy like a tree or a mountain.
See if you can embody that feeling of being in your unshakable power.
What does strength feel like?
See if you can feel that now.
And I'll give you a moment to bask in this image,
Feeling or sense of your strength and power.
And I'll give you a moment now to stay with this feeling of being in your strength.
Perhaps an image of strength and power comes to mind.
Good.
And now I'd like you to see if you can feel both of these states together.
Feeling with the flow of life and in your powerful rooted strength.
You can imagine,
Feel or sense being in flow and in strength.
Like a gentle stream of water flowing down a sturdy mountainside.
By saying or silently thinking,
I go with the flow of life.
I go with the flow of life.
I am grounded and strong.
I am grounded and strong.
I am flexible and flowing.
I am sturdy and resilient.
I go with the flow of life.
I am strong and capable.
I adapt well to change.
I am deeply rooted and grounded.
And now you can return your attention to the surface underneath you.
Notice all the places your body is being supported.
Notice your body breathing.
And notice any sounds around you.
If you'd like,
You can give your body a little stretch as we end today's practice.
I hope you are able to experience a sense of peaceful flow as well as grounded strength.
And if so,
I hope you can carry this feeling with you and return to it often.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
