Today's meditation is for the follicular phase or spring phase of your menstrual cycle.

Start by finding a comfortable seated position or maybe taking legs up the wall for a little extra grounding.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Filling up your belly with air,

And exhale through your nose,

Feeling your belly release.

Take a few more breaths connecting to your body.

Start to draw your awareness to your womb space.

Does it feel more open,

Lighter,

And more flowing?

Maybe you notice a surge of energy throughout your mind and body,

An awakening of sorts.

Sometimes this can feel like a wonderful thing coming off that winter phase of your cycle,

But other times you feel a little out of sorts,

Pushing you into that scattered and anxious feeling.

Notice where you're at today.

Start to envision yourself in a forest,

Walking to a wide open space in a meadow.

You lay down in the meadow and look up.

You notice the beautiful clouds floating above you.

You look a little closer and notice the clouds are actually previous memories of yours.

In ways that you found joy in your life.

You watch the clouds float by,

Bringing different life moments of joy on them.

What do you see?

What do you feel?

What do you hear?

Take a few moments to watch those clouds float by with moments of joy.

What do you see?

What do you see?

You continue watching the clouds float by,

But notice that the scenes are changing.

The scenes are now showing you the very first time you got your period.

You see the younger version of you.

Maybe they're excited,

Scared,

Confused.

You watch what she does.

Maybe she tells a loved one what's happening.

Maybe you're sitting quietly in a corner.

Or maybe you go to the store yourself to buy your supplies.

Staying with the breath.

Staying in the body.

You slowly watch the scene unfold.

You might start making connections into your own life now.

As to what your menstrual cycle means to you.

You might make connections into the shame,

Embarrassment,

Joyfulness,

Or apathy you carry now about your first menses.

Take a few more deep breaths watching the younger you maybe you give her a hug.

Tell her things will be okay.

What does that younger version of you need?

Now you see the clouds are starting to get thinner.

Maybe you smile.

One last time at the younger version of yourself,

Knowing that everything will be okay.

You bring your awareness back to the body,

Laying in the meadow staring up at the sky.

You start to awaken your body.

You start to notice the forest.

You'll be noticing an animal that's speaking to you right now.

Maybe a tree or a flower.

Knowing that's medicine that you might need at this point in your life.

You start to get up from the meadow and walk back through the forest where you came from.

As you exit you look around one last time and look up at the cloud.

Very last one floating by.

It has one more vivid memory of joy to show you.

Notice what it is.

Taking a deep breath,

You give thanks and walk back out of the forest.

Now slowly start to bring your awareness back into your body right now into the womb space by placing a hand there,

If it is not already.

Take a few deep breaths centering you back into your body through time and through space.

Slowly blinking your eyes open,

Taking in the room around you.

Then maybe grabbing your journal and writing anything that feels important to record right now on it.

Knowing that your inner wisdom will bring exactly what you need to remember and hear right now.
