Hello everyone,

Welcome to Take Good Care of Your Emotions.

In this class,

I'll share knowledge,

Insights,

And gentle guidance to help you enhance the overall quality of your life.

By the end of this audio lesson,

You will have 3 practical tools to nurture your emotional well-being,

Elevate your energy,

And reconnect with your inner strength.

You will feel lighter,

More centered,

And ready to live the life your soul planned for you.

I'm Ana Barreto.

I'm an author,

So,

Grab a pen and a notebook,

You made this appointment before you arrived,

And it will be worth your while.

So,

Why are you here?

Why did you make this appointment?

The short answer is you knew there would be days when you needed support and gentle reminders to guide you back to the path you chose before you arrived here.

You knew you would forget the seeds your soul planted in your heart.

You knew you would water those seeds on and off because of the destruction you would create.

You also knew that occasionally you would forget your light and brilliance when you began to live new experiences.

You knew that this and many other appointments you made would remind you of who you are,

Your excitement to live in this life,

And how you would contribute to humanity.

If this sounds familiar,

Then this talk is your appointment.

Before we continue,

Let me tell you a little bit about myself.

I was born in Brazil,

And I came to New York for a six-month adventure that lasted 37 years so far.

I had $1,

000 in my purse,

In which $460 was to be sent back to my brother who lent me the money.

I worked as a housekeeper,

Babysitter,

Dog walker for a few years.

I got an education despite of the odds,

And today I have an Associate's,

Bachelor's,

And Master's degrees.

I got married,

I had two children,

Got divorced,

Landed my dream job that I soon realized I hated.

I raised my children pretty much by myself and with the help of the babysitters I hired.

I almost went bankrupt when I ventured on my own.

I was able to get back on my feet and restart for the fourth time.

Yes,

Four times I had to reset my life.

First,

When I left my parents' home at 18 years old with two suitcases.

Then,

When I left Brazil in 1988 with one suitcase.

Then,

When I left my marriage with tons of fear.

And then,

When I sold my house to pay my debts and took a regular job.

My biggest fear was to not provide for my children and end up like my dad,

Totally broke.

Looking back,

I realize I set pauses and helpers to bring me back on track.

Growing up in Brazil,

I knew there was something big and meaningful I was supposed to do.

And when I trusted,

Things just happened.

One of those events was when I was meditating in March 1988 and I had a vision of myself speaking English in a location I didn't know.

In the vision,

People understood me,

But I,

In Rio de Janeiro,

Didn't have a clue.

When I came to myself,

I thought,

Oh,

I'm going to United States,

Even though I have never been there.

Two months later,

I was in Maranac,

New York,

And saw the street of my vision,

The restaurant across the street,

The signs for the elementary school,

And the American flag.

That's how my subconscious recognized it was the USA.

There were other moments like this when during meditation,

I would receive guidance.

And what you are about to learn are some of the guidance I received.

So,

Thank you for being here.

This is one of the appointments you made to improve the way you feel.

Like I already said,

You made this appointment before you arrive in this physical life.

The way you feel is so important to improve your consciousness and awareness of the work you sign up to do.

I ask you to begin by taking three breaths and listening to this class with your heart.

Let's take three breaths.

Inhale.

And exhale.

Inhale.

And exhale.

Inhale.

And exhale.

I've learned that my subconscious was afraid of arriving where I am today.

Too many limiting beliefs learned along the way found their way in my actions and paralysis.

I didn't rush in.

Many,

Many times,

I was so impatient.

Then,

I used to get mad,

Sad,

And disconnected.

My emotions were roller coasters.

When I was upset,

Problems showed up.

When I was in peace,

Flow entered the rooms of my life.

I was guided to where I am today.

And I was told in 2020 that in 2023,

I would make the transition.

2023 arrived,

And I couldn't see how it would happen.

I wanted to use my talents to improve the lives of women.

But in July,

A tremendous change happened.

And in October,

I left my highly compensated job with amazing benefits to do my mission full-time.

My path is not your path.

But meditation will reconnect you to your work.

Every time you step into a meditation,

You return to yourself.

Eight minutes a day is the magic number.

But you can benefit from meditation with as little as three minutes,

Unless you are the black holes of the universe.

In this case,

You need a minimum of 18 minutes.

Did you hear me?

So,

You're here.

And today is incredibly special because you have a few things to recall.

Are you ready?

Number one.

You sign up to be here.

You sign up.

You are a spiritual being having a physical experience.

You wanted to experience living.

You knew of nature,

But you wanted to feel the sun on your skin,

The wind blowing on your face and your hair.

You wanted to touch the sand with your hands.

You wanted to dance in the rain to see the changing of seasons.

You wanted to make snowmen,

Eat ice cream and brownies,

Play with fire,

See thunderstorms,

Climb mountains,

See shooting stars,

Jump rope,

Celebrate birthdays.

You wanted to fall in love,

Console your friends,

Have children.

You wanted to see the bees feed the birds.

You wanted to ride a bicycle,

Pick apples,

Eat watermelon,

Smell the roses.

You wanted to taste wine,

Enjoy coffee,

Plant a tree and much more.

You also wanted to touch the trees to see the intricate shades.

And you know them as art,

The creator's art.

You wanted to be marveled by the colors of hundreds of flowers.

You wanted to see,

Touch and smell them from the knowing of a novice.

What else did you intend to do in this earth?

What else?

We tend to be stuck on the lack of our intentions and miss all the things we knew were right in the world.

You wanted to be here.

You were excited to be here.

Have you ever seen the eyes of a toddler playing with bubbles?

That's how it felt.

You wanted to participate in this new earth.

Most importantly,

You knew that your contribution to the world were in your feelings.

Did you hear that?

You knew that your contribution to the world were in your feelings.

Your positive feelings improved the energy of your space,

The people around you,

In this new earth.

In other words,

The better you feel,

The better is your energy you share with humanity.

People are often distracted by the news.

Somehow,

Media believe that negativity sells.

But this is not our natural state.

Negativity shrinks energy and positivity expands.

I don't suggest that you ignore the events of the world,

But you will need to,

Unless you can manage your emotions.

Here is an easy process to reconnect with your enthusiasm for living in this world from the perspective of your soul.

You are energy and you love to experience the best of life.

I invite you to pause this track and name at least 20 things you love about the world.

Just don't think of them and name them in your head.

Write them down.

For example,

I love sunrises,

Pink sky,

Meatballs with mashed potatoes.

I love seeing the roots of trees,

The sea,

Water,

And etc.

So,

Pause now and write at least 20 things you love about this world.

Do it now.

Welcome back,

My friend.

Did you do the work?

If you did,

Your emotions are high.

Congratulations!

That's the high that people have been looking for and maybe using drugs and alcohol to get there.

So,

Feel free to do it at any time you need to reset your emotions.

Are you ready for number two?

Number two,

Your feelings is a superpower for good and for pain.

Your feelings are a tremendous force in the universe.

Good feelings expand good and bad feelings expand bad.

I'm not saying that you can't feel sad,

Mad,

Hurt,

Or any emotion that is less than neutral.

However,

You can't live in them.

Yes,

You cannot linger in them.

You cannot walk around for a year,

Two,

Three,

Or 20 years with a grudge,

Resentment,

Anger,

Or etc.

So,

Take a deep breath and hear this with your heart.

Whatever happened to you years ago were not meant to be your backpack,

Your sentence,

Or your karma.

You can let go for the sake of your feelings.

I'm going to repeat this so you don't miss.

Whatever happened to you many years ago were not meant to last that long.

Those things are not your backpack to carry,

Your sentence to be committed,

Or your karma.

You can let them go for the sake of your feelings.

It will take some practice for you to release lower emotions when things happen.

I advise you to limit carrying lower emotions for no longer than 24 hours.

48 to 72 hours are reserved for the big stuff.

I know it can be a challenge.

But once you understand how the power of your emotions can impact all the areas of your life,

It could be a great incentive to release them.

I am not asking you to fake by putting a smile on your face.

Hello,

These are emotions,

Energy,

And it's all around you.

When you feel those lower emotions for too long,

We attract lower emotions of others into our experience.

Plus,

In this time on Earth,

Things are happening fast.

The good,

The bad,

And the ugly.

The sooner you can reset your emotions,

The better.

Let's be real.

It's still a practice for me too.

Here is a key point with your emotions.

Let's assume you feel sad because you lost someone you care for.

No one can tell you how long to grieve.

So here is an approach.

Take the time you need.

But begin by recalling all the beautiful memories you have with this person.

Recall them with the most details you can muster.

If you feel sad when you recall them,

You disconnected from their energy,

And you won't feel their presence.

The key is to appreciate the physical time you had together and not allowed your brain,

Your brain,

To focus on that you will miss them.

You can't feel appreciation and sadness at the same time.

One more thing.

The people who pass are with you now as you think and remember them in higher light.

They are next to you now because your energy is high and souls marvel at this high state of consciousness.

Don't be surprised if you smell them,

Notice their favorite thing,

Or feel that touch.

They are closer to you now than when they were in the physical body.

Everything is always working out for me.

Some good and dreadful things must go so the great ones can come.

The sooner you reset your feelings about what happened,

The sooner you will step into greatness that is waiting for you.

Remember to mind your feelings.

Often people ask,

How are you?

And we tend to say,

I'm okay or I'm fine without checking inside.

What people are really asking is,

How are you feeling?

Always use I feel instead of I am.

I feel are temporary states and it can be improved.

I am is a declaration of identity.

When you say,

I'm sad,

You merge your being with sadness.

But when you say,

I feel sad,

You acknowledge an emotion that is passing through you,

Not one that defines you.

Okay,

Are you ready for number three?

Number three,

Your soul dropped your gifts in your heart.

Yes,

Your soul did.

Your soul dropped your gifts in your heart.

Everything you need or ever will need is already within you.

Don't believe me?

So let's do a quick exercise so we can connect with that wisdom together.

And we're doing it right now.

So close your eyes.

And let's take three deep and slow breaths.

Place your awareness in your heart center.

Keep breathing.

And let's go deeper and deeper.

Focus on your heart center and go deeper.

You may place your hands on your heart center to help you focus.

Keep breathing and go deeper and deeper.

Focus on your heart center.

And ask your soul to show you one of your gifts.

Ask to show it to you.

Ask to see the gifts you received before you gave away your self-worth,

Your self-appreciation.

Take another deep breath and allow it to surface.

Just allow your gifts to surface.

Trust that image or thought.

Perhaps you can sense one of your gifts.

You could allow it to surface.

Yes,

You can.

Would you allow it?

Could you allow it?

Keep your attention on your heart.

Sense,

Feel,

Or see one of your divine gifts.

Would you allow it to surface?

Would you allow it to surface?

One more time.

Take a deep breath.

Sense,

Feel,

Or see your divine gift in your mind's eyes.

Trust what you receive.

Would you allow it to surface?

Could you allow it to surface?

You can open your eyes now.

If you didn't connect with it,

Repeat this practice tomorrow morning when you first get up.

Give yourself plenty of time and try not to rush into your day for a job or commitment.

Humanity,

My friend,

Needs you.

Your level of consciousness is more important than ever.

The highest your awareness of your gift,

Of your contribution,

Of your energy,

Of your emotions.

The highest is our connection with the oneness-ness that we are.

You decided to be here at this time with your family,

Where you live,

With your gifts,

And with your job.

Make it count.

And if you sense a disconnection,

Go back to the number one practice and begin listing what you love about this world.

You can also listen to this whole class again.

Your brain cannot get you back into alignment,

But your feelings can.

So,

Use your gifts,

Use your emotions,

Make your life,

This life,

Count.
