Hello and welcome to this practice to help you cultivate love for yourself.
So if it's comfortable for you to sit either cross-legged or maybe on a chair please do so,
But if there's another position that would provide you with more ease go ahead and choose that.
And then if you'd like close your eyes and just begin to settle in to your body and noticing the breath flowing in and out.
Allowing your breath to slow down,
Allowing your breath to deepen,
Allowing your breath to become calm.
And using your exhalation to release your body,
Maybe the shoulders drop away from the ears,
Maybe the belly relaxes,
The jaw releases.
And as you begin to find some comfort here in the body,
Presence in your body,
Bring your attention to your heart space.
And as you tune into your heart,
If it's difficult to connect in here,
Just place a hand over your chest.
And in your own way connecting to your heart and saying hello to your heart.
There's consciousness here in your heart and so notice if this energy of your heart,
If it responds,
If it says hello back to you.
And then notice how your heart is beating.
See if you can feel that ongoing rhythm of your heart beating inside your chest.
Listening to your heart beating like you're listening to a song,
Really taking in your unique heart's rhythm.
Really taking in your unique heart's rhythm.
And without losing connection to your heart,
Let yourself feel back out into the rest of your body.
And then noticing the space around your body.
Imagine the space around your body is filled up with the energy of love.
You are surrounded by this energy of love and it has a color.
Notice what the color of the space around your body is.
And as you breathe in,
You're breathing in this beautiful colored energy of love.
This love energy is abundant.
You can take in as much as you'd like.
Let it become one with you.
And as you breathe it in,
This energy travels down into your heart.
Delivering love directly to your own heart.
And as your heart fills up with that energy,
It begins to pump it out to the rest of your body.
Until your entire body is filled with the same energy that you first discovered outside of you.
This colored energy is now filling you up on the inside.
So continuing to be aware that you are surrounded and held by love.
This energy of love has a color.
And as you breathe it in,
You begin to deliver this love to every cell in your body until you are lit up in the same color of this love energy that is surrounding you.
And then if your hand is not on your chest or your heart,
Go ahead and place one hand over your sternum.
Holding your heart,
Holding this frequency of love inside of you.
And say to yourself a loving,
Positive affirmation.
What is something you need to hear today?
What message does your heart deserve to hear?
What loving words do you want to say to your inner child?
To that innocent part of yourself that exists within us,
But doesn't always receive our best attention.
So taking just the next few moments,
Holding your heart,
Speaking to yourself either silently or out loud with positive,
Loving affirmations.
So so tuning back into your breath.
So maybe once again,
Acknowledging your heart beating inside your chest.
And sealing in this energy of love.
Sealing in these positive affirmations towards yourself.
Sealing in the goodness from today's practice.
Take a nice deep breath in through the nose and out through your mouth.
As you move into the rest of your day,
Bring with you this energy.
Remember that this energy of love is inside of you,
But it's also the energy that surrounds you.
You can access it at any time through intention and you can share it with those you meet.
