Welcome to day 10 of Radiance.
For today's practice,
You want to have space to lie down.
And you could lie down on your bed,
You could lie down on the floor,
Whatever feels most comfortable for you.
Go ahead and lie down first on your back.
You will be shifting positions a little bit throughout this practice today.
But to begin,
You can just be on your back.
If you'd like to stretch your legs out long,
Great.
If that's not comfortable,
You could try bending your knees and letting the feet be on the floor.
Close your eyes.
And bring your hands to rest over your belly.
Start to breathe a little deeper so that when you inhale,
You feel the belly expanding up into your hands.
And as you exhale,
You feel the belly softly release back and down towards the earth.
Do that a couple times,
Just feeling the belly rise with your in-breath.
And fall with your out-breath.
Letting go of anything outside of this moment and centering your attention on yourself,
On your body.
And on your breath.
We're going inward a little deeper today.
We visited your muscles and your bones.
And today we are going to acknowledge all of the inner organs.
It's these organs that keep us alive,
Keep us nourished,
Keep everything in a way functioning and working inside of us,
Keeping us balanced and healthy.
Inner organs today,
As we attune with them,
Just be open,
Be curious,
Not only to what you're feeling physically,
But possibly emotionally as well.
And so as you're lying here on your back,
Feeling the breath flowing in and out,
Just allow your awareness to drop into the inner spaces within your torso and head.
You can take a deep breath in to these spaces.
And as you breathe out,
Think of the outer shell of your body relaxing.
Relaxing your muscles,
Relaxing even the skin of your body.
Again,
Breathing in to fill up the space inside your pelvis,
Your torso,
Your head.
Within these cavities of the body that the organs live.
And let's first acknowledge the brain in your skull.
And think about taking a breath into your head,
Into your brain.
If this is difficult for you to connect in this way to your brain,
You could take your hands and rest them over your skull.
And then moving down to your ribcage.
And again,
If you want to use your hands,
You could let your hands rest upon your rib cage,
Moving deeper beyond the muscles and the bones into what's inside your rib cage.
Your lungs,
And your heart.
And then move down from there into your belly.
The lower torso.
And there's lots of different organs here in your torso.
We've got the digestive tract,
The esophagus coming out of the ribcage area,
The small intestines,
Large intestines,
The colon,
The spleen,
The stomach,
Pancreas,
The liver and the gallbladder,
And on the back of your body,
The kidneys.
The adrenal glands are sitting right on top of them.
And just take a breath in,
Just acknowledging all of these organs,
You don't have to know exactly where they are,
Just know they exist,
They live inside of you.
Let your belly expand as you acknowledge these organs.
And relax.
Feel them dropping towards the earth towards the back of your body as they relax.
And then breathe a little deeper and move your attention down into your pelvis.
I already mentioned the colon,
The bottom of your digestive tract,
Weaves through this space as well as your bladder.
And you may have a uterus.
Your ovaries or gonads also live in this space.
Those are glands.
But take a moment,
You may have never let yourself or have been guided to connect into this part of your body,
Into the organs here.
So just breathe into that space,
Knowing they live here.
They play an important role in your overall health.
Take one more breath,
And as you breathe out again,
Just feel as though all your organs are relaxing towards the earth,
To the back of the body.
Keeping everything really relaxed,
If it's comfortable for you,
I want you to roll now onto your right side.
And when you arrive on your right side,
You could curl up in a fetal position.
Maybe stretching your right arm overhead so that your head can rest on your arm like a little pillow.
And just take a deep breath in,
Staying connected to the inner space of you where all of your organs live.
And as you breathe out,
Feel them dropping down towards the earth.
Let go of any holding or tension around them.
Free up any stagnant energy.
And then if it's comfortable,
You're going to roll onto your belly.
Stretch out on your belly.
You can cross your hands or your forearms and rest your forehead on your forearms.
And then just take a couple breaths here and think about all of these organs inside of you.
Imagine them like this.
Water balloons.
And feel their weight releasing with gravity towards the floor,
Towards the front of your body.
Especially as you breathe out.
Relax your jaw,
Maybe let the breath leave through an open mouth.
And you can stay here if you wish or.
.
.
Roll onto your left side.
Curl up in a fetal position.
Take a couple breaths here and again you're letting all of your inner organs release towards the earth through the left side of the body now.
Meditating on this sensation of release from deep within your torso.
Releasing the organs towards the earth.
Take a deep breath in and out.
And then lastly… push yourself up,
And just come to sit,
Sit however it feels comfortable for you.
As you sit,
Align your head over your ribcage,
Ribcage over your belly,
Belly over the pelvis.
Breathe in with gratitude to your inner organs.
Let them all release towards the earth Feel them breathing.
And alive inside of you.
Letting your breath revitalize these life-giving organs.
Noticing physical sensations.
What stands out right now physically for you.
And are there any emotions arising and just acknowledge those if there are.
And then place one hand over your heart and one hand over your belly.
Sealing in.
This experience.
With your inner self.
Your inner organs Deep breath in.
.
.
And out.
I look forward to going even deeper with you.
Tomorrow.
Have a beautiful rest of your day.
