Dear Wild One,

I am so glad you're here.

I can feel your energy.

The tiredness,

The exhaustion,

Maybe just mildly running down these days like your batteries are starting to slip or lose their juice a little faster than they used to.

I want you to know it's okay to rest here.

It's okay to admit that you're tired.

I think the trouble is that we live in a culture that prizes busyness.

Busyness has become this status symbol.

I hear it all the time in my counseling practice,

In my Reiki practice,

Even when connecting with friends and colleagues.

It's been ages.

How have you been?

I ask.

So busy,

They reply,

As if this is a good thing.

And sometimes we truly are busy with things that light us up.

But I don't think you'd be tuning into this today if you weren't feeling at least a little depleted and in need of a fresh spark of energy.

So here we are.

Are you ready to breathe in and feel refreshed?

I am.

So find a seat that's comfortable where you won't be disturbed.

And I'm going to ring the bell three times and I want you to follow the sound of the bell for as long as you can hear it.

Here we go.

Don't forget to breathe.

So let's take the deepest breath you've taken all day.

Notice how you fill yourself up and let it go.

And your breath is not lost.

It comes right back to you.

We really are able to catch our breath when we slow down enough to be present with our breath.

So maybe we can be a little playful,

A little curious,

As we practice releasing our breath,

Exhaling,

And then catching our breath again on the inhale.

Releasing and catching it again.

Releasing and catching it again.

Nicely done.

This is what it means when we say pay attention to your breath.

A lot of my counseling clients really hate meditating.

They roll their eyes when they're asked to pay attention to their breath.

And my response is to make it a game.

Also,

You'd notice pretty quickly if you couldn't breathe.

So I'm asking you to just focus or highlight your breath while tuning out the other stuff for just a few moments.

So just like the bell,

We follow our breath all the way out and all the way back in.

We catch it and we release it.

And this is your only job right now.

Stay with my voice,

Calm your body,

Follow your breathing.

And as you do this,

Your breath might slowly start to rock you or send waves right through you,

Like ocean waves lapping the shoreline.

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes.

As you catch your breath,

I want you to imagine that you are taking in the warmest white light.

And as you release your breath,

That warm light is pulsing through you and lighting up every cell in your body.

If you want,

You can use your pointer finger to tap tap gently on your chin gently.

And say with me,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes.

I am here for this.

I am.

I am here for this.

Yes.

I am ready to receive this.

Yes.

I am here for all of this.

Yes.

I am ready to receive.

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes.

You can stop tapping,

But stay held in that warm white light.

Let it fill you to overflow.

Let it spill out of you.

Let it surround you in all directions so that you are sitting up a little straighter.

Because when our energy is depleted,

We tend to shrink or wither.

Allow yourself to take up space.

Stretch out your arms.

Lengthen your spine.

Maybe tap your feet on the floor.

Heel,

Toe,

Heel,

Toe.

And as you do this little dance within this bubble of warm,

Clean energy that you've created,

Just know that you can return to this at any moment because you created it.

So can you loosen your jaw just a bit?

Notice the energy you are holding in your face.

And does it match or can you make it match the energy you are surrounded by?

Warm,

Clean,

And new,

And bright,

And fresh.

So there's two more things I want us to do together to release any stagnant energy trapped in your body.

First we'll do some tapping,

And then we'll do some grounding.

So using your two,

Maybe two middle fingers or pointer finger on each hand,

I just want you to tap very gently just below where your collarbones meet in the center of your chest.

There's kind of a little divot there.

Find it with your fingers.

Very gently tap,

Tap,

Tap,

Tap,

Tap,

Tap.

There you go.

And repeat after me.

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes.

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes.

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes.

Good.

So now if you move those same hands,

Some same fingers,

Down to the center of your breastbone and tap gently and maybe kind of a Tarzan move,

Caveman move.

And repeat after me.

I am showing up for myself.

I am.

I am showing up for myself.

Watch me show up for myself.

I am totally showing up for myself right now.

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes.

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes.

Great work.

Class one.

We're gonna move our hands to the spot.

There's a spot just above your lowest ribs,

Like directly in line with your nipples,

Right below your bra,

If you're wearing one.

And tap gently and repeat after me.

I am releasing everything that no longer serves.

I am releasing everything that no longer serves.

I am.

I am releasing everything that no longer serves.

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes.

Great work.

So you can release your hands,

Shake your fingers out,

Let it go.

And notice how you feel.

Because you are warm and safe within this ball of energy that you've created.

And now that we've opened up this energetic channel,

Let's take the time to really root down so that we're able to sustain the energy it takes to actually rise.

Like when we put seeds in the ground.

We dig down and we plant that seed and we cover it with nourishing soil.

So while they take root,

We may never see leaves or fruit until the root is strong,

Right?

I think we get impatient with ourselves and expect fruit before our roots are strong enough.

I know I do.

So let's take a moment to plant our feet firmly on the ground as if we were pushing that ball of energy we've created down into the earth.

Push the energy through your feet,

Through your heels,

Through your toes.

Make those roots nice and strong and fill them with your light by way of your breath.

If you feel ready and want to,

You can stand or if you like,

You just you can just allow your breath to lengthen your entire spine,

One vertebrae at a time,

Up through your crown.

And allow this beautiful light to flow up from the earth through your feet,

Through your entire system,

And overflow up and out of your crown,

The top of your head,

Where it falls back to the earth again and we start all over.

Yes.

Yes,

Yes,

Yes.

This is what it means to root,

To rise.

Anytime you're feeling run down or disconnected with yourself,

I want you to come back to this practice.

It will always be here for you.

So when we rise from this rooted place,

Our energy is never-ending.

I want to give you a moment to just really allow yourself to feel all of that.

Feel that energy moving through you.

Nice work.

So when I ring the bell,

I'm gonna ring it three times,

Follow that sound for as long as you can and allow yourself to gently acclimate back to your surroundings.

Dear Wild One,

I am so glad you joined me today.

I hope this practice was helpful.

I'd love to hear from you.

Feel free to send me a DM,

Leave a review.

And Wild One,

Your energy is a gorgeous sight to behold.
