Namaste and welcome to this Yoga Nidra for creativity.

We are listening to the sacral chakra frequency as that is where the seat of our creativity and expression lies.

Find a comfortable and quiet space where you can lie down on your back,

Arms out to the sides and your legs about hip-width apart.

Close your eyes,

Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.

Start by bringing your awareness to your toes.

Wiggle the toes and feel a wave of relaxation flowing from the toes to the feet and then to the ankles,

Calves,

Knees,

Each part slowly relaxing and letting go of tension.

Continuing up through the thighs,

The hips,

The belly,

The low back,

Relaxing the chest and shoulders,

Down through the arms,

The elbows,

The wrists and each and every fingertip,

Coming back to the shoulders letting them just sink into the mat or the bed.

Relax the neck,

The jaw,

The face,

The forehead,

The back of the head.

Take a moment here to simply focus on the breath and relaxing the body fully.

Place one hand on the belly connecting in with your intuition and one hand on the chest connecting in with the heart space.

Deep breath in through the nose,

Hold the breath,

Open the mouth,

Sigh it out.

Inhale deeply through the nose,

Fill up the lungs,

Hold the breath and sigh it out.

Now take the hands just below the belly button in that sacral chakra area.

Also in Sanskrit it is called Swadhisthana chakra.

Breathing into and out of the space,

Taking a deep inhale in and exhale out.

Inhale in,

Exhale out.

In,

In.

Let your hands gently fall out to the sides once again,

Palms facing up to receive.

Now we will set our Sankalpa.

The Sankalpa is a bit like a promise or a resolution but it's actually a little bit more than that.

A Sankalpa is more like a vow that you make between yourself and your higher power.

It's an intention that carries the same weight and importance as making a vow.

And since today's Yoga Nidra is about creativity,

Take a moment here to make a vow about something pertaining to your creative intentions and endeavors.

Close the eyes,

Begin to relax.

Make a promise that you'll stay awake but completely relaxed throughout this Yoga Nidra.

You may float into a near dreamlike state.

That's perfectly fine.

If you fall asleep that's okay too.

Your subconscious will still hear my words and still absorb the sacral chakra frequency.

I will now guide you through a rotation of consciousness.

You will simply follow my voice as I guide you to place your awareness at different parts of your body.

Imagine yourself in a forest.

The trees sway gently and the air is filled with the soundings,

Soothing sounds of nature.

Creation is all around you and you feel a deep connection to the earth's creative energy flowing up from the earth and filling up your entire body.

As you walk through the forest,

You come across a pond.

It is so clear and so still that you can see your reflection like a mirror.

You kneel in front of the pond,

Taking the fingertips from both hands and you start to put them in the water,

Waving them side to side,

Creating many ripples.

This is your creativity rippling out from you.

Mother Teresa says that we cannot change the world,

But we can create many ripples,

As does your creativity.

Next,

You will start to slowly walk into the pond,

Pausing to feel the coolness of the water up to your ankles.

And as you slowly step forward,

The water comes up higher and higher to the thighs,

The hips,

The waist,

Belly,

Up to the chest.

Arms are submerged and now it's at the shoulders.

And then you step forward and completely submerge yourself in the cool,

Clear water.

Simply let go and let your body feel weightless.

No pressure,

Just be.

Feel the creative energy flowing all through your body and all around you.

Your creative ideas are all around the water,

Scrolling around you,

Taking shape,

Evolving and growing.

Let your body be weightless and just simply float slowly to the top,

To where the bottom back half of the body is out.

So you're floating on the top of the water.

Let your hands and legs sprawl out.

Let the water support you and hold you as you look around at creation all around you and know that you are just as much a part of creation as all the nature is.

You are nature and so therefore you are creative by nature.

Say this affirmation out loud or silently in your mind.

I am a vessel of limitless creativity.

My ideas float effortlessly and I embrace my creative potential.

I am a vessel of limitless creativity.

My ideas float effortlessly and I embrace my creative potential.

Take your sankalpa,

The vow that you made between yourself and your higher power and feel it within you glowing,

Emanating,

Growing.

Take your awareness back to the breath.

Taking a deep inhale through the nose,

Filling up the lungs completely and exhale slowly releasing all air.

Inhale to exhale.

Every inhale is an invitation for more creativity and fresh ideas and inspiration,

Motivation.

Every exhale is removing any self-limiting beliefs or obstacles that have stood in your way in the past.

They are now in the past.

Focus on the invitation and what's already within.

Start to bring your awareness back to your physical body.

Wiggling the fingers,

Wiggling the toes,

Taking your surroundings in.

It's like in your space,

But still carrying with you the energy,

Creativity,

Potential that you cultivated during Shraddha Nidra.

When you're ready,

Come to one side of the body,

Pausing a moment here to express gratitude to yourself for taking time out today to cultivate more creativity in your life,

To create many ripples in the world.

You make a difference and the world needs you.

The world needs more creative people expressing their potential in their hearts and their mind.

Your potential is boundless.

Come up to a seated position.

Inhale the arms out wide and touch overhead looking up and then exhale hands coming to heart center.

Thank you for practicing this Yoga Nidra with me today.

The light in me honors the light in you.

Namaste.
