Namaste and welcome to this water themed meditation.
Please have some form of water nearby,
Whether it be a glass of water or the bathtub or swimming pool,
Lake,
Pond,
Creek,
Just some form of water and then settle in to a comfortable position,
Beginning to relax the body,
Starting at the top of the head,
Releasing the forehead and the jaw,
Take the tongue from the roof of the mouth,
Let the shoulders settle,
Relaxing down through the arms into each and every fingertip,
Let your belly be soft and your hips sink into the ground,
Relaxing down through the legs and to each and every toe,
Taking your awareness to the sacral chakra,
Also known in Sanskrit as Swadhisthana chakra.
This is located below the belly button in the womb area.
It is the center for desire,
Pleasure,
Gratification and creativity.
Its color is orange.
As you take your awareness to the sacral chakra,
Envision an orange orb of light in this space and you're breathing into and out of this chakra.
This chakra is also associated with the element of water.
This is where we water the seeds of our intentions and desires.
Take your hands into Jala mudra,
Which is placing the thumb and the pinky fingertips together.
Jala means water and now take your awareness to the tips of your pinky and thumb and breathe into and out of that space.
We are made of 70% water and the earth's surface is covered by around 70% water as well.
Water sustains all life and we experience this element in our physical bodies through saliva,
Blood,
Sweat and tears.
Taking the awareness back to the sacral chakra and envisioning your breath like a cleansing flow of water flowing into and out of this space.
What do you feel?
Whatever comes up,
Simply honor it.
Do you feel like a block of ice?
Cold,
Numb and damning up?
Or do you feel out of control like a raging river or somewhere in between?
Or do you oscillate between the two extremes?
Deepening the breath into and out of the nose.
Continue to breathe in and out of the space,
Beckoning the cathartic method to unthaw and calm the waters.
Water always finds a way and like water we adapt and flow.
When we let go,
We become light.
We float.
We allow ourselves to be carried and supported.
Continue to breathe into and out of the space,
Reciting these mantras out loud or quietly to yourself or silently in the mind.
The universe is guiding me like a river,
Flowing to my distinct purpose and destiny.
I let go of doubt and fear so I may become light and buoyant,
Ever-flowing.
I am supported by the loving flow of the universe.
I am at peace like a river.
I am whole like the ocean.
And I am loved like a rainbow loves the rain.
Water holds energy and vibration.
And as said before,
We are 70% water.
Our bodies hold energy and vibration too.
Our thoughts are energy.
Our words are energy.
Studies have been shown that water that has been spoken to in beautiful,
Loving,
Nurturing language forms beautifully perfect crystals when frozen.
And likewise,
Water that has been spoken to or played negative,
Destructive,
Harmful messages form deformed crystals.
So what we say to ourselves and others matters.
Coming back to our affirmations,
The universe is guiding me like a river,
Flowing to my distinct purpose and destiny.
I let go of doubt and fear so I may become light and buoyant,
Ever-flowing.
I am supported by the loving flow of the universe.
I am at peace like a river.
I am whole like the ocean.
And I am loved like a rainbow loves the rain.
Gently open the eyes and locate your water source.
Dip your fingers into the water and trace the word love in the water.
And then take the water using your fingertips and trace the word love on your arms.
Trace the word peace and then peace your body somewhere.
Joy,
Purpose,
And once again,
Love.
Come back to the breath.
Come back to your Jala Mudra,
Taking the pinky and thumb fingertips together.
Taking the awareness back to the sacral chakra,
The orange orb in the womb space.
Breathing into and out of the space,
A cleansing flow like water.
Cleansing your entire being.
Letting go.
Becoming light,
Buoyant,
Supported in the flow of life.
Simply spend a few breaths here,
Breathing,
Connecting in,
Honoring whatever comes up.
Gently release the fingers and wiggle them out.
Flutter open the eyes.
Start to relax the body.
And let's breathe two cleansing breaths together.
Inhale deeply through the nose,
Filling up the lungs.
Open the mouth.
Big sigh.
One more time.
Inhale deep breath through the nose.
Open the mouth.
Big sigh of relief.
Thank you for meditating with me today.
The light in me honors the light in you.
Namaste.
