Welcome back to another meditation practice with me.
Today I will be guiding you through an anxiety relief meditation.
I'm sure this will be a very useful one for a lot of you.
So making a mindful meditation practice,
Part of your daily routine can really help ease anxiety,
Anxious thoughts,
Panic attacks.
So those of you that suffer from anxiety sometimes get caught up in a whirlwind of intense thoughts and sensations.
So we all have dealt with anxiety,
It's totally normal.
The key is to bring yourself back to a calm state of mind where you feel in control of your mind and your feelings rather than letting anxiety take the wheel.
So this following meditation will help you feel calm,
Lower your heart rate and convince you that you feel great and have an abundance of inner peace already flowing within you.
So let's get ready to let it all go.
So go ahead and find yourself in a comfortable seated position where you won't have any interruptions.
Close your eyes.
Begin to draw your attention to your breath.
So begin to feel your breath as it flows through your body,
As it nourishes your body.
Feel your inhales and your exhales.
Relax your shoulders,
Relax your eyes and your eyebrows.
Relax your jaw.
And just feel your heart rate just slow down,
Coming back to a natural peaceful state with every calming breath that you take.
So keeping your awareness on your breath and in this present moment,
Nothing else matters right now besides the present moment.
Feel your belly rise on your inhales and your belly contract coming in towards the spine on your exhales.
Let this powerful breath of yours assist you in connecting your mind to your body.
Everything is connected.
Let this powerful life force connect the mind and the body.
Just taking a few more deep breaths.
Now begin to acknowledge your thoughts.
So acknowledging your thoughts will help you learn how to sit with uncomfortable thoughts without having to respond to them.
So over time,
You may feel less anxious and experience more inner peace throughout your meditations as you get comfortable with acknowledging your thoughts and understanding that they don't always need a response.
So every thought that comes to your mind is not a representation of who you are at your true essence.
You are not every thought that you have.
Anxiety comes in when you begin to believe every thought that comes to mind.
We have negative thoughts,
We have positive thoughts.
And when anxiety plays a role is when you start to believe these negative thoughts,
Even though they're not always true.
The mind is very powerful and very broad.
And we tend to have thoughts of all kinds coming in and out.
And if you know throughout your meditations,
The more you meditate,
The more you practice,
You will learn to just witness these thoughts and not respond to every single one that comes to mind.
And with this practice throughout time,
You will experience more inner peace,
More control of your mind and your sensations,
Your emotions,
And anxiety will just become something that comes in and it quickly vanishes.
As we all experience anxiety,
It's all a matter of bringing yourself back to a calm state of mind.
So with that being said,
Let's sit with the breath.
Focusing on the breath and any thoughts that come to mind,
Just simply witness them.
Don't react to them,
Just witness.
Keeping your focus on your breath.
Now imagine yourself washing away any anxiety that you may feel within yourself.
Just simply feel it leaving your body through every exhale that you take.
Feeling a sense of release,
Letting go of any negative thoughts,
Of any worries,
Any tension,
Any stress,
Letting it go through every exhale.
Let it vanish,
Let it disappear.
It is no longer part of you.
It no longer controls you.
And with your inhales,
Begin to breathe in inner peace,
Calmness,
Relaxation,
Happiness,
Love,
And light.
Remember that any time that you feel anxious,
Just stop what you're doing,
Close your eyes,
And breathe.
You can always turn to your breath.
Your breath is always there for you.
Take a few more breaths with this sensation of deep inner peace.
Now begin to bring awareness to your physical body,
Feeling the contact of your body with the surface you're sitting on,
Bringing focus to your hands,
Your feet.
Begin by moving your hands and your feet,
Turning your head side to side.
Let's bring our hands into prayer in front of our heart.
May you carry a deep state of inner peace and inner calmness with you at all times.
You are big,
You are strong,
You are energetic.
Thank you for being here today.
Namaste.
