Welcome to this power nap.
Make your body really comfortable now,
Closing your eyes and mentally repeating these words.
For this power nap I allow my mind to be open,
My senses to be sharp and my inner knowing to reveal itself,
In its own time and in its own way and I trust that my body will awaken in 15 minutes feeling confident and clear.
Begin with a few really slow and deep breaths,
Inhaling right down into your belly and exhaling with a long and soft sigh.
Slowing your breath right down,
Breathing in and breathing out,
Inhaling and exhaling,
Breathing in low and slow,
Breathing out,
Just letting it all go,
Deep breath in,
Long breath out,
Inhaling,
Exhaling,
Belly rises,
Exhaling,
Belly drops and now let your breath be natural,
Body breathing by itself,
Feel where your body meets the support beneath and just let the weight of your whole body dissolve into that support,
Tongue resting in the mouth,
A softening of the whole face,
Hinges of the jaw,
Eyes resting right back,
Nestling into the support of each socket,
Shoulders emptying out,
Hips releasing their weight,
Giving up the weight of the legs,
Don't even try to control your mind,
Let thought be free,
Allowing it to come and allowing it to go,
Not getting involved,
It's too much effort now to figure anything out,
Let your awareness drop right down into your heart,
Feeling the sensations in your chest,
Inviting your heart to soften and open,
Silently affirming your willingness to trust what your heart knows and now let your awareness drop right down into your belly,
Feeling the sensations in your abdomen,
Let there be a softening deep down in the belly,
Silently affirming your willingness to trust your gut feelings,
Call forward a question you want to ask and now let the question fall away and let yourself just be here,
Resting wide open,
Receptive and available to whatever naturally arises,
Let your body sleep if it wants or simply rest in the effortless space of just being and now let your breath deepen again,
Taking a few more slow and low breaths,
Inhaling right down into your belly and exhaling with a long and soft sigh,
Breathing in and breathing out and as you enjoy a few really slow and low breaths let the inhalation be a receiving,
An opening to whatever life brings and let the exhalation be a dropping away of all that keeps you stuck or confused,
It's time to wake up now,
Now let your body move and stretch in whatever way it needs to now,
Returning to its wide awake state,
Trusting that life has your back,
Confident,
Clear and ready to return to your day.
Thank you for joining me for this power nap.
