This is a short but powerful effective meditation,

A gratitude and connecting to higher self.

It can be practiced at the beginning of the day,

In the afternoon or just before you drift off to sleep.

It will help you find gratitude within your life and reconnect you with your higher source,

Especially when you require an answer to a question.

Try it for 30 days and notice how much better you feel.

You may even see benefits in as little as just one session.

So turn off all distractions,

Free yourself from all interruptions and please don't listen to this recording while you're driving.

Either sit or lie down,

Whatever is the most comfortable to you.

But have a straight spine,

Supported if necessary.

Gently close your eyes down,

Relax the face and the jawline and take a slow,

Long,

Deep breath in and a slow,

Deep breath out.

Feel any tension just melting away as you gradually relax a little deeper with each nourishing breath.

Again,

Take another long,

Slow,

Deep breath in and a deep breath out.

Feel yourself gently drifting into a state of deep relaxation.

Relax,

Let go.

Continue to breathe slowly and gently as you bring your awareness to the top of the head,

The crown chakra and picture a warm,

Loving golden light that washes over you all the way down to your toes.

Feel your muscles relaxing as the golden light washes over you,

Surrounding,

Protecting you.

Relax.

Take a few more deep breaths in and out.

Let go of the muscles.

Relax.

In this safe,

Relaxed state,

Reflect on all the things you're grateful for in your life.

Take your time,

Such as loved ones,

The sunshine,

The fresh air that keeps us alive,

The tasty meals you've eaten or maybe a nice unexpected compliment from a co-worker.

Whatever comes to mind,

Breathe all these into your lungs on the in-breath and dispel all those negativities as you breathe out.

As each gratitude appears,

Visualise yourself saying the words,

Thank you,

Thank you to each of them.

Picture the person you're grateful for standing in front of you.

Tell them how grateful you are for them and why.

Try to make the image and feeling as real as you can using all your senses.

Taste the delicious food you ate and say thank you,

Thank you.

Let the warm sunshine upon your face and say thank you with all your heart and notice where in your body the feeling is.

Take a few more breaths to allow this feeling to gently expand.

Enjoy the pleasant feeling gratitude gives you and feel it washing away all tensions,

All negativity.

Now if you're wanting an answer to a question,

Breathe in and breathe out,

Relax a little further.

Think of the question and ask your higher power,

God or the higher part of yourself to reveal the answer to you.

Don't force a reply,

Just relax into it and it will appear when you're ready to receive it and in a way that you will understand.

Now again allow the feelings of deep gratitude to come into your body,

Gently breathing in and breathing out.

Remain in this relaxed state for a few more breaths and when you're ready we will end this gratitude meditation with the following affirmation.

Thank you for the many blessings I've been bestowed with,

May these blessings multiply as I continue to notice and give heartfelt thanks to them.

Thank you universe,

My heart is open and in the receiving mode with so much love and so much gratitude.

Namaste.

Now wiggle your toes and fingers and you may want to stretch and yarn,

Gently pulling the body around,

Then open your eyes and bring that feeling of gratitude with you as you go through your day as you gently drift off to sleep.

Thank you and Namaste.
