I'm Amanda DeChristina and I'll be guiding you through a waking up meditation to begin your day on the right side of the bed.

Upon awakening,

Gently open your eyes to greet the glorious day ahead of you.

Send a wave of gratitude out into the world as you take a moment to recognize that you awoke this morning.

Yes,

You are alive again today.

Another day,

Another chance as the thoughts of the night before or the day ahead start to swirl into your consciousness,

Move your complete attention to your body.

Notice how you feel in this very moment.

Scanning your body from head to toe.

Perhaps there are some aches from last night's sleep or grogginess in your head.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and open your mouth to let out a big sigh,

Releasing any stagnant energy from the night before.

Again,

Take another long deep breath in,

Letting that one go.

Bring into your mind an intention for the day ahead.

How do you want to show up in the world today?

What qualities do you want to strengthen that are already within you?

Visualize it,

Feel it.

Take a deep breath in and let that breath anchor in your intention for the day.

And so it is.

Begin to slowly sit up and bring your feet to meet the floor.

Feel your feet against the floor,

Grounding you into today,

Into the now.

Take one more breath and stand up.

Stretch your arms high above your head to reach the sky.

Pour your hands down in front of your chest.

Today is a new day.

Go on with your day knowing that you just completed a meditation on the move.
