Transcript

Make sure you're in a comfortable position,

Preferably in a quiet space.

Take off your shoes and loosen your clothing so that you won't feel any restrictions.

You may lie down or sit up in a comfortable position with your spine and neck long and straight.

Relax your shoulders and lay your hands on your lap.

Slowly close your eyes.

Turning your gaze inward,

Give yourself permission to relax into your body.

Take a moment to just take note of where you are.

Adjust your body in any way you need to in order to feel comfortable but alert.

Once you find your seat,

Become very,

Very still.

Inhale through your nose and exhale out your mouth.

Letting go of any to-do lists,

Tasks,

Future plans or past regrets.

Breathing deeply,

Expanding the belly out and on the exhale,

Pulling the belly towards the spine.

Continue breathing in this relaxed manner,

Breathing in calmness and relaxation,

Breathing out any stress or tension.

Allowing yourself to become fully immersed in the present moment.

You are here.

You have arrived.

Bringing your breathing back to its natural rhythm,

Allow your breath to flow freely and effortlessly throughout your body and just relax.

Let's pretend for a moment that you have the ability to take off all of the ways in which you identify yourself.

You can leave your identity right at the door next to where you place your shoes.

Your name,

Your age,

Your gender,

Your occupation,

Your hobbies,

Your interests,

The physical,

Mental and emotional limitations,

The roles you play in your life,

Your financial status.

Just drop it right off next to your shoes.

You can pick them up again at the end of this meditation.

Realize that you are not your body and you are not your mind.

You merely have a body and a mind.

Behind the superficial,

Behind the physical,

The core of you awaits,

Your center.

Allow your center to come forward right here and right now.

Just listen to my voice and let any strain or tension drain from your muscles starting with the top of your head.

Feel any stress melt right off of your head as it starts to relax and soften.

You can feel a tingling sensation as it relaxes you deeper and deeper and calmer and calmer and more and more peaceful,

Gently guiding you into a deep inner peace.

This feeling is now moving down onto your face,

Smoothing out any lines in your forehead,

Covering your eyes,

Sinking deep down behind your eyes as your face becomes more and more relaxed,

Like a wave slowly starting to move down your whole body.

You can feel this wave as it descends down the rest of your face,

Your nose,

Your mouth,

Your chin and jaw.

You can feel this wave softening and relaxing you more and more.

Just breathe gently as this wave continues to travel down your neck,

Melting away any tension down to your shoulders and arms.

As the wave travels through your body,

It releases any and all tension through your upper arms,

Your elbows,

Your wrists,

Your hands and fingers,

Softening,

Relaxing you more and more.

You are so calm,

So peaceful and so very,

Very relaxed.

You feel this wonderful wave move down your stomach,

Your upper back,

Your lower back and sides,

Melting away any tightness or tension in your chest.

Take a deep breath in and watch as this wave moves down,

Softening your hips,

Your pelvis and upper thighs,

Feeling heavier and heavier and more and more peaceful as your body relaxes into a blissful state of happiness and serenity.

The wave moves down your legs,

Your knees,

Your calves and shins as they become heavier and heavier,

Moving all the way down to your ankles,

Your feet and toes,

Feeling your entire body completely and utterly relaxed and very,

Very calm.

You are feeling a state of inner peace that you have never known before,

Feeling totally supported by the surface beneath you.

Now we will engage in a powerful healing visualization for the earth.

Breathing in and out,

Lay one hand on your heart and one hand on your stomach.

Feel your heart beating in your chest,

Feel your stomach moving in and out with each breath you take.

Using your imagination,

I'd like you to picture all of your family members,

Friends and loved ones gathered around together.

Invite them to sit with you in a circle,

See their smiling,

Glowing faces looking at you and one another,

Laughing and enjoying each other's company.

Feel a strong sense of love,

Gratitude and appreciation well up inside of your heart and repeat these words silently.

May you be happy,

May you feel safe,

May you be healthy and may you live your life with ease.

Watch as your loved ones acknowledge these wishes.

Begin to include all of your neighbors,

Associates and colleagues into the circle.

See them join with enthusiasm and joy and repeat these words silently to them.

May you be happy,

May you feel safe,

May you be healthy and may you live your life with ease.

Watch their smiling faces as they receive these wishes and give thanks,

Expanding out to include all of the people in your town,

City and state.

Consider those you may have seen a few times,

Once or not at all.

Repeat these words silently to them.

May you be happy,

May you feel safe,

May you be healthy and may you live your life with ease.

Watch them acknowledge these beautiful wishes,

Finally stretching your imagination to include the entire country,

The continent and the world.

May all beings be happy,

May all beings feel safe,

May all beings be healthy and may all beings live their life with ease.

See everyone gathered around in unity to offer healing and support.

Lower your hands back down to your lap with your palms facing up.

Now visualize all of the earth's inhabitants including yourself being bathed in a beautiful white sparkling bright light coming down from the sky.

And as this light covers you,

Your loved ones,

Your city,

Your country and the world,

It instantly releases all suffering taking place in the world right now from any suffering going on.

Connect with your heart.

Recognize people who are ill becoming well,

Those who are separated from their loved ones uniting,

People who are struggling financially becoming abundant,

Those who do not have shelter,

Food or water becoming nourished,

Warm and safe,

People who are working hard every day and putting themselves at risk,

Being able to relax,

Rest and restore.

Send your thoughts and energy in the direction of healing for the entire earth for whatever arises can also cease.

And as you send these thoughts out,

Feel every cell in your body becoming more and more rejuvenated.

There's an energy,

An uplifting energy elevating and rejuvenating your entire being.

You are completely restored,

Joyful,

Relaxed and so very,

Very peaceful as you elevate yourself and the world through the extraordinary power of your mind.

Lowering your hands back down to your lap,

Coming back to your breath,

Coming back to your body.

Breathing in and out.

Feeling the rise and fall of your life force energy as it flows through you.

Give thanks for this moment of deep healing and deep relaxation.

We dedicate this meditation to all of those on the front lines,

To all of those sick or separated,

Living in fear and suffering in any way.

With eyes still closed,

Slowly start to invite movement into your body.

Begin to wiggle your toes and feet,

Your fingers and your hands.

Reach out your arms and legs.

Roll your shoulders and neck.

Bring your hands in front of your chest in prayer position.

Rub your hands together,

Creating some heat.

Place your hands over your eyes and your face,

Taking in the energy we've created here today,

Allowing the energy to flow into your face.

Lowering your hands back down to your lap and slowly opening your eyes.

The divine in me honors the divine in you.
