Namaste.
Taking a moment now to get completely comfortable.
Laying in your bed or on a comfy couch.
Find a place where you can soften in and release.
Where you can cocoon yourself.
Closing through the eyes.
One of the most beautiful things about sound meditation is that it can really activate the parasympathetic nervous system.
And naturally encourage states of deeply healing rest.
Finding a cocoon of listening.
Breathing into the heart.
Ears open and sensitive.
Eyes heavy.
And as you connect with your heart,
Notice your breath gently start to expand.
And without forcing it,
Allow your exhale to become longer.
Deepening the inhale.
Relaxing outward on the exhale.
Allow a deeper,
Fuller breath without forcing.
And on the next exhale,
Exhaling with a hum sound.
Humming gently with your lips closed and your teeth apart.
And allowing for the vibration of sound to fill into every edge and crevice in the body.
So as you exhale,
Inhaling deeply.
Humming.
Making the hum as long as you can at your own pace.
Inhaling deeply.
Humming.
And one more.
Humming.
And allow the vibration to reverberate through every cell in your body.
Sensing the resonance you just created for yourself.
Feeling into the heart space.
Feeling the breath rise up into your heart as the vibration ripples.
And let the exhale be a softening into the jaw.
Feeling inside the mouth.
The throat.
Releasing the tongue.
The temples.
The eyebrows.
The whole scalp and hair.
Letting your head sink into the pillow.
Allowing yourself to be lulled into a dreamy state.
Give yourself permission to dissolve into the rest of darkness.
Feeling the hug of gravity.
Heaviness trickles down into the hands and fingers.
Can you become even heavier here?
Into the hips.
The sacrum.
Where can you soften?
Feeling the weight of the legs.
The heels heavy.
Letting sounds wash through.
Becoming porous.
Allowing gravity to hold you here.
A sweet embrace of the earth.
Allowing yourself to listen.
Notice your ears experiencing sound vibrations.
Allowing the mind to dissolve into the spacious awareness.
The sense of listening.
Letting go of the hold that stress may have on the body.
The grip that might be lingering in the tissues.
Releasing with each breath,
Dropping closer and closer to the earth.
Sinking deeper and heavier now.
Awakening to the world of sounds.
Sensing the right ear experiencing sound.
The left ear listening.
Sensing both ears simultaneously.
Both ears becoming receptive.
And the entire body becoming receptive to the experience of sound.
Sounds rippling through the whole body.
The body listening globally.
Sensing this current of sound.
And now this current of sound.
And now this one.
Watching everything you've been holding dissolving.
Sensing layer upon layer of sounds.
Recognizing the simplicity of awareness.
Of being.
Of the presence with each sound.
Not requiring becoming something or getting somewhere or growing into something new.
Liberating yourself.
Letting go of all of the rivers,
Valleys,
The rolling landscapes and journeys that you wish to go on.
The dreams of distant futures floating away as you soften and open into this very moment.
Letting go of the ideas of what life could look like if only you could get to where you're going.
Relinquish the projections of efforting your way towards something.
Releasing the density,
The rigidity of old worn out ideas that you've been holding.
Unhelpful beliefs that you've been clinging to.
Instead of residing in what is already here.
Welcoming what's already here.
Welcoming yourself just as you are.
Welcoming a recognition of the freedom that is being.
That is this spacious awareness that's already happening.
And there's no need to effort your way into being.
It's always been there.
Resting back into what you already are.
No necessary technique.
No pushing or attempting,
Cultivating or evolving.
Releasing the need to control the flow of life.
Resting back into what already is.
Letting your river flow as it pleases.
Simply observe and recognize that all is unfolding spontaneously.
Becoming fluid.
Releasing constriction.
Unwelcoming spaciousness and presence.
Keeping the ears open.
Letting sound and attention dive into the luminous spaces within the body.
Where the mind loves to dissolve.
Releasing fear of the unknown.
Welcoming curiosity.
Welcoming dreams spontaneously coming into form.
Welcoming faith.
And trusting that all is unfolding through the intelligence of life itself.
Presence with the life living within you.
Acknowledging whatever has been weighing you down and choosing to surrender.
Allowing that natural place in you that is tender,
Slow and sweet to be here now.
The place you drift off to when the sweetest dreams arise spontaneously.
That peaceful place inside of you.
The spaces of renewal and great rest.
Returning to the calmness of your breath.
Feeling this body.
Feeling this heartbeat.
Allowing for the gift of rest.
A feeling supported by the earth and by life itself.
Welcoming the heavenly dance with your dreams tonight.
Rest in knowing that the same peace you experience in sleep is still with you when you're awake.
Allowing yourself to dissolve.
Dissolving into peace.
Dissolving into sleep.
