We all perceive the world through three different lenses — body, emotions, and mind. They're the filters through which we perceive, react, and ultimately create our reality. But here's the catch: if we get too cozy in a corner, things can get out of hand. This meditation is about finding a balance between the body, emotions, and mind.

Welcome to this guided meditation on the body,

Emotions,

And mind.

Begin by finding a comfortable seat or lying down,

Allowing yourself to settle into a really nice,

Easy,

Comfortable,

Relaxed position.

Closing your eyes,

Taking a deep breath in and out.

Starting by bringing your attention now to your body,

Feeling the sensation of the ground beneath you supporting your weight,

And taking a moment to notice any areas of tension or ease in your body.

With each inhale,

Imagine drawing in fresh energy,

And with each exhale,

Releasing any tension.

Drawing in that fresh energy and letting go of any tension that remains.

Now shifting your focus to your breath,

Feeling the rise and fall of your chest,

Or maybe that gentle expansion and contraction of your abdomen.

Taking a few deep breaths,

Allowing each inhale to bring vitality,

Each exhale to release any tightness that you're still holding onto,

And as you continue to breathe,

Imagine a warm light slowly enveloping your body,

Picturing this light bringing a sense of calm and presence to every part of you,

Embracing the physical sensations as they arise,

Embracing the breath,

The movement,

Acknowledging that wisdom and vitality within your body.

Now shifting your awareness to your emotional center,

The place where your emotions reside,

And there acknowledging any emotions present within you,

Not judging them or even naming them,

Just noticing those emotions,

Noticing how like waves,

Those emotions ebb and flow.

Taking a moment to notice and be curious about that emotional landscape within you.

What is that emotional landscape like right now?

The calm seas or stormy waters?

Whatever that emotional landscape is like is completely fine,

For right now you don't need to change it.

All you need to do is observe it,

Just simply noticing,

Accepting,

And approaching with a sense of curiosity and openness.

As you continue to breathe now,

Imagine your emotions as really vibrant colors,

And with each breath allow these colors to harmonize,

Creating a palette within you of beautiful emotional balance.

Embracing that beautiful,

Colorful richness of your emotional landscape,

Recognizing that each of these emotions has its part to play,

Has the color that it brings to the canvas.

As you continue to breathe now,

Continuing to invite a sense of clarity and ease,

Imagining a gentle breeze passing through,

Carrying away any emotional tension or heaviness that may have arisen,

Letting the waves of emotion flow,

Knowing that you have the power to navigate and to find that equilibrium within each individual moment.

Now shifting your focus to your mind center,

Imagining a clear blue sky,

Representing the vastness of all of your thoughts,

All of your intellect,

All of your ideas.

As you breathe,

Letting go of any mental chatter,

Any overthinking,

Any desire to name or to categorize,

Letting that go like clouds dispersing in the sky,

Revealing that beautiful,

Clear,

Open sky,

That expansive clarity of your mind,

And now inviting a sense of curiosity and exploration into this.

As you breathe in,

Imagine your mind expanding,

Embracing new perspectives and insights.

With each exhale,

Releasing any rigidity or patterns in your mind that no longer serve you,

That might even hinder you.

You're the architect of this valuable space of your mind,

Capable of sharing your thoughts and sharing them in a way that is in true alignment and harmony with all aspects of you.

As you continue to breathe now,

Bringing awareness back to this trifecta of body,

Emotions,

And mind,

Envisioning these three centers working together in complete harmony like the instruments in an orchestra.

Your body provides that grounding rhythm,

Your emotions offer the melody,

Your mind orchestrates the whole symphony within you.

With each breath,

Feeling the integration of body,

Emotions,

And mind,

Creating that coherent and balanced experience of self,

Having let go in this moment of holding on to one of these areas,

An area where you maybe feel most comfortable,

And knowing that that's fine to feel comfortable in one of these three centers,

But integration and wholeness comes in an awareness of all three,

Allowing the wisdom of each center to shine,

Recognizing that you're a multifaceted being,

Capable of navigating all the complexities of life.

Taking a moment now to express inward gratitude for the unique qualities of your body,

Emotions,

And mind,

Expressing gratitude for this harmony that you've experienced in this moment,

Knowing that you're able to reconnect with this harmony within you at any time that you need,

Beginning now to return gentle movement to the body,

Before you open your eyes,

Saying an affirmation to yourself about what you've learned about your body,

Emotions,

And mind,

Perhaps an affirmation about the gratitude that you experienced,

Or an affirmation about what your unique combination of body,

Emotions,

And mind has to offer.

When you're ready,

Gently opening your eyes and bringing the tranquility of this meditation with you into the rest of your day.
