
Morning Yoga Nidra | Wake Up Refreshed And Recharged
This yoga nidra practice is meant to help you set the tone for the day ahead. By tapping into a state of deep yet alert rest, you awaken the body mind, and soul in a way that helps you stay centered throughout the rest of your day. We explore different breathing techniques and visualizations to help you recharge the body with clear energy. Find a focus on what truly matters to you.

Welcome to this morning yoga nidra that's meant to help you set the tone for the rest of the day so that you can step into this day with bright refreshed energy.
So let's start by making yourself comfortable.
Maybe you're still in bed laying down,
Maybe you want to come down onto a yoga mat or the couch.
So in whatever way you're laying down make sure that you make your body comfortable.
So making any adjustments needed here and then softly allowing your eyes to close and with closed eyes let's tune into the body.
What does the body feel like right now?
Do you maybe feel a little tired?
Is there a sense of restlessness?
Or do you feel very relaxed,
Very open?
Just getting a general idea of the state of your body,
Your mind.
And while gently scanning the body for any particular feelings,
We acknowledge that there is a whole day ahead of you.
There are many unknowns to come your way today,
Many opportunities and possibilities in whatever form.
But right now just allow your body to still fully relax.
Right now you are granting yourself these moments of spacious stillness.
These moments to nourish your body,
Mind and soul for the day to come.
So truly allow yourself that rest as you let the body sink deeper into the ground below,
Allowing a full release into the layers beneath you.
Letting any thoughts on to-do's,
Planning of this day just release for these upcoming moments.
As you feel a wave of softening just ripple through the body.
Feel how you can soften the feet all the way into the toes,
Allowing the lower legs to soften as you let your thighs be heavy and soft.
Allowing a softening of the hips,
The belly,
As you weigh your back really deeply down into the surface beneath you.
Arms are heavy and soft,
All the way softening into the tips of your fingers.
And then allowing the throat to be soft and open.
Allowing the back of the head to weigh down as you sink it a little deeper into the ground as you allow the face to soften.
Soft lips,
Soft eyelids and even a soft forehead.
Just laying here as you allow relaxation to flow over you.
Let the intention be to stay alert and awake as we move through this practice.
Allowing the body to relax while keeping the mind softly focused on my voice.
It's not a strenuous focusing,
It's really soft as if touching it with a feather.
Now feel into the lightness and the energizing quality of your breath.
Feel the uplifting,
The energizing quality of your inhalation.
How every inhalation fills you up with fresh new energy.
Feel the sense of release every time you exhale.
Noticing that beautiful wave rising up in energy with every inhale and then letting go with every exhalation.
Now we'll start rotating our awareness through the body.
So simply follow the part of the body that I'll be naming and softly place your focus into that part.
Starting with the right thumb,
Index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger and little finger.
Palm of the right hand,
Back of the right hand,
Wrist,
Forearm,
Elbow,
Upper arm,
Right shoulder,
Armpit,
Right side of the chest,
Waist,
Right hip,
Upper leg,
Knee,
Lower leg,
Right ankle,
Top of the foot,
Heel and sole of the foot,
All five toes of the right foot,
Whole right side of the body at once.
Now into the left thumb,
Index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger and little finger.
Palm of the hand,
Back of the hand,
Wrist,
Forearm,
Elbow,
Upper arm,
Left shoulder,
Armpits,
Left side of the chest,
Waist,
Hip,
Upper leg,
Knee,
Lower leg,
Left ankle,
Top of the foot,
Heel and sole of the foot,
All five toes of the left foot,
Whole left side of the body.
Now feeling the whole body at once,
Whole body filled with this energizing quality of sensations.
Now concentrate your full awareness into the base of the spine,
Into the tailbone,
Concentrating awareness as a beautiful bright light of energy in the base of the spine.
And now on your next inhalation,
We're rising that beautiful light up through the spine,
All the way into the crown of the head as you near the end of your inhalation.
And now as you exhale,
Just slowly letting that light descend through the spine again,
Moving it all the way down,
All the way into the base of the spine again.
So on your breath,
Keep moving that beautiful light through the spine.
Keep feeling that energizing movement of awareness as this bright light up and down through the spine,
Moving up every time you inhale,
All the way to crown of head.
And on every exhalation,
Feeling it slowly release down,
Landing it back into the base of the spine.
Consciously feeling the effect of this movement of awareness.
Light moving up and down through the spine.
Now after your next inhalation,
Allowing awareness as that bright light to rest for a moment at the crown of your head.
Now allowing that bright light,
That awareness to move down into the space inside your skull as you've allowed a whole brain to be filled with this bright light of awareness.
Conscious of the whole brain occupying this beautiful space inside your skull,
Lighting it up with your awareness.
Whole brain in the space of your awareness.
Now feel into the whole body again,
The whole body laying down.
Tuning in with the state of the body in this moment.
Now flowing all awareness into the nostrils,
Feeling the left and the right nostril.
As you notice the sense of breath,
The flow of breath,
Moving in this place in and out through the nose.
Now as you inhale,
We're moving two streams of energy starting from the left and right nostril through the nasal cavities all the way up until both streams meet in the third eye space in between your eyebrows,
Meeting in this single point of the third eye.
And as you exhale,
Starting from that single point,
Two streams of energy move downward again through the left and right nasal cavity until they end in both nostrils again.
And continue like this,
Moving the breath from both nostrils all the way in that triangle movement until they meet in the third eye space.
And every exhale,
Let's them diverse again into the left and right side of the nostrils.
Keep moving energy up and down,
Going from that two-sided awareness into the single point of consciousness in the third eye space.
Now after your next inhalation,
Let awareness rest in the third eye.
And as we let full awareness be concentrated in this point in between eyebrows,
Let's place here the intention to focus on what matters today,
To clearly see what deserves your energy today and what you might let go of in the next moment.
What deserves your energy today and what you might let go of.
And while resting in this third eye space,
Repeat mentally,
I clearly focus on that which truly matters.
And feel that in the whole body.
I clearly focus on that which truly matters.
Now move awareness into the heart space.
And once again,
Repeat mentally,
I clearly focus on that which truly matters.
Feel that intention lend in every cell of the body.
Let every cell breathe the energy of that intention.
As you now start to feel each and every cell of your body with a sense of gratitude for that which is to come today.
The lessons to be learned,
The opportunities to be shown.
Gratitude filling up your whole being.
And with gratitude,
Feeling a readiness to move into this day with a clarity of mind,
A peaceful body,
And a fullness of heart.
Now start feeling the solidity of your physical body again.
Aware of the energy flowing through the body as you let the breath become a little deeper.
Feeling the effects of this practice.
Feeling how this practice has recharged your whole system with fresh energy.
Now prepare the body to come back again to a wakeful state of consciousness.
To a wakeful state of consciousness.
As you slowly start to open up your eyes and get ready to move into this day,
Refreshed,
Recharged.
