Hi and welcome.
So today we're going to do.
.
.
A relaxing face meditation,
Which may sound a bit strange,
But we're going to use awareness and softness and receptivity to allow the muscles of your face to release and to relax and to feel a little bit nicer.
So if it's comfortable whenever you're ready,
Closing your eyes.
And first things first,
Making sure that you're as comfortable as possible.
She might want to wiggle your bum and hips a little bit.
And you can be seated or lying down for this,
So totally up to you.
We're going to take three deep breaths together to arrive into a grounded sense of presence.
Breathing in.
Release through the mouth.
Two more rounds,
Breathing in.
Letting go.
Final round,
Nice big breath in.
And release.
And bringing awareness to the crown of your head.
Imagining each and every hair follicle softening and releasing.
Every hair on your head can relax from the root to the tip.
The tip to the root,
Every hair on your head can relax.
That awareness now.
Flows down into your forehead,
Releasing any worry lines.
And if you're a scowler or a frowner like I am,
Just feel the smoothness of the muscles across the forehead.
When you allow yourself to fully relax.
Awareness to your left eyebrow.
Right eyebrow.
Two eyebrows together.
Your eyelids.
Eyelashes.
Allow your eyes to fall to the back of your head.
As they rest in their sockets.
Delicate skin just beneath your eyes.
Cheeks.
Inner cheeks,
Roof of the mouth.
Gums.
Tongue and heavily the bottom of your mouth.
Awareness through your jawline.
Left outer ear.
Left inner ear.
Right outer ear.
Right inner ear.
I'm taking in the whole faces once.
All the muscles can relax,
There's no expression needed.
And this is the final part of our practice.
Rubbing the palms of your hands together to generate some heat.
And then bringing your fingertips to the apples of your cheeks and just rubbing your cheeks in circles.
Go one direction to start with.
That might come down onto Where the jaw?
Begins.
On the bottom part of your.
Meats.
Your head.
And then rub in the opposite direction.
Opening and closing the jaw a few times.
Ah,
A nice big sigh.
There's absolutely no rush for opening the eyes when you're good and ready.
And hopefully that gave your face and the muscles of your face a nice release and relax.
Often we don't realise how much tension we carry in our jaw and our cheeks until we have the opportunity to become present.
So thank you for joining me and I look forward to seeing you next time.
