My beautiful Mother Earth,
I see you crying,
A sorrow so deep I cannot help but feel it in my soul.
Tears that speak of your pain,
The pain of being unseen,
Unheard,
Unhonored.
My dear Earth,
You shake with powerful force to capture my attention.
You burn with fire to show your passion,
To remind me of all you give,
All you love,
All you sustain.
My dear Mother,
You are always beautiful,
Always serene.
You wrap me in the warmth of your sun and bathe me in the glow of your moon.
You gift me the light of your stars and the intense brightness of your planets.
You sweeten my days with the beautiful song of birds and lull me to sleep with the gentle melody of the night.
You are wise,
Generous,
And resilient.
You give without limit,
Without condition,
Without expectation.
And instead of receiving with reverence,
I have selfishly taken without thought.
Forgive me,
Mother Earth,
For the pain I've cost you.
Your tears weight heavy on my heart.
Your sorrowful song pierces my soul.
A song of grief,
An echo of farewell,
A whispered plea carried by the wind as you fade.
Rest peacefully,
Mother Earth.
I will no longer be blind to your pain.
I will no longer silence your cries.
I will live each day as your guardian,
Your ally,
Your child.
You are not alone,
Mother Earth.
I'm here,
Listening,
Loving,
And healing with you.
