This meditation is a combination of the soften soothe allow practice from the Mindful Self Compassion course (Germer and Neff). I have added in a technique inspired by Ann Saffi Biasetti (Befriending the Body) which helps check in first to see where our nervous system is in terms of the difficult emotion we are working with.
