Hello,
My name is Addie.
Thank you for joining me for this guided meditation from Beaver Pond on Sweet Grass Ranch in Big Timber,
Montana.
Find a comfortable seat or a place to recline.
Adjust the clothes,
Adjust the body.
Make yourself just a tiny bit more comfortable.
Begin to bring your awareness to the breath.
Find inhales and exhales through the nose.
Allow the breath to deepen.
Feel the inhale swelling the belly with air.
And the exhales allow the body to take up that space.
Eyes are closed.
Begin to bring your awareness to the inside of your eyelids.
It's as if they were a movie screen.
Notice the sounds on this recording.
And begin to create a picture for yourself.
You're floating on the pond in a kayak.
You're safe.
The buoyancy of the water is holding you.
As the gaze extends out from the body,
Notice the cattails that surround you.
A slight breeze kisses your skin as you feel the warmth of the sun.
Notice in the breeze as the cattails begin to sway.
The pond also has some small trees around it.
Tender limbs,
Bright green leaves,
All swaying in the wind.
In the branch of the tree is a red-winged blackbird.
As you listen,
You enjoy his song.
Take the gaze outward from the body.
And notice as the trees become taller.
Beautiful aspen with their leaves clapping in the wind.
Stately pine trees reaching their limbs to the sky.
As the gaze travels even farther outward,
See the mountains.
Some of the mountains covered with green pines and cedars.
Some mountains are rocky,
Covered with snow.
The crevices hold the memories of winter.
The gaze extends farther and you see the big sky.
The most beautiful shade of blue you can imagine.
Interspersed with fluffy white clouds.
One of the clouds is touching the top of the mountain.
Continue to let your mountain scene evolve as you nourish the body with deep breaths.
And you release what you no longer need with each exhale.
And don't worry,
I will awaken you with my voice when it's time to return.
Bring your awareness to the sound of my voice.
To the sound of my voice.
Notice the breath as it flows in and out of the nose.
Keeping the eyes closed,
Envision yourself reclined or seated in that comfortable place where you started.
Visualize your surroundings.
Your eyes are still closed.
See yourself in your surroundings.
Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes.
Roll the wrists.
Roll the ankles.
With an inhale,
Draw the arms overhead.
Reaching and stretching.
And then as you exhale,
Release the body as if it's not time to get up.
Another inhale to reach and stretch and grow.
And this time as you exhale,
Sigh it out.
Gently blink the eyes open.
Allow yourself the time to return to your space completely before you arise.
Thank you for practicing with me.
It's been my honor to guide you.
Until next time,
Namaste.
