Welcome to this meditative sound bath.
My name is Abbey.
I'll be your guide.
Before we start,
I'd like to share a little information about sound healing and what to expect from this practice.
As we practice today,
You may feel physical sensations,
Such as tingling or vibrating within the body.
You may feel emotions that wish to express themselves.
Some people may cry.
Any expression that is genuine for you is fine.
You may see visions of light,
Colors,
And shapes.
You may experience memories.
With everything that happens,
Try not to label it as positive or negative.
Experience everything with detached awareness,
Allowing it to just happen.
Please try not to sleep,
Although if you do,
You will still benefit from the practice.
Throughout the practice,
I will alternate between verbally guiding you and playing the crystal singing bowls.
Anything that I say that does not resonate with you,
Let it go in one ear and out the other,
Only taking what serves you in the moment.
Let everything flow through you and wash over you.
I will gently guide you back to your physical space at the end of the practice.
Be sure to sip some water at the end of the practice and continue to drink water throughout the day because a sound bath is like a massage at a cellular level,
And like a physical massage,
It can release toxins.
Drinking plenty of water allows the body to release the toxins naturally.
If you become activated or distressed and do not wish to continue,
Please blink the eyes open gently,
End the recording,
Then drink sips of water to ground yourself before moving on with your day.
Sound healing affects everyone a little differently,
So if you have a response that is unacceptable to you,
Now you know what to do.
Make yourself comfortable in a seated position.
Begin to observe the breath as it flows in and out of the nose,
Gradually allowing the breath to deepen.
Bring your palms together and begin to rub them.
Allow the hands to move faster and notice the heat that is building between them,
Soothing the eyes,
Bringing softness,
Relaxation.
Gently close the eyes and allow the hands to slide down the face,
Eventually resting on the lap.
The eyes are soft and relaxed.
Allow that feeling to seep into the eye sockets,
Spreading to the rest of the muscles in the face.
Soften and relax.
Allow that relaxation to slide downwards into the jaw.
The jaw becomes slack,
Moving downwards.
The shoulders drop into the torso.
The belly softens and drops.
Awareness follows this downward movement of relaxation and energy.
Notice the contact between the body and the earth below it.
Bringing the attention to those contact points,
Start to have a somatic connection with the body,
Really feeling the sensations present where the body connects to the earth.
Sense the body resting,
Sitting on the earth,
Feeling the stability and the stillness of the earth below.
Aware that we are of the earth,
Not separate from it,
Connected with the stability,
Support and the stillness of the earth below.
The body starts to become still,
Stable,
Grounded,
Starting to become aware of this very close relationship between feeling the body and having the body soften and relax into stillness.
Both of these,
Feeling the body and relaxing the body,
Support and deepen one another.
Now how is it just simply sitting on the earth?
What's your relationship to that right now?
Is it contentedness?
Do you feel resistance?
Just noticing,
Not judging,
And the attention to encompass other parts of the body that are not in contact with the earth.
Noticing the sensations,
If any,
Allowing the attention to be wide,
Having a sense of feeling the whole body at once.
The whole body,
Which includes the parts connected to the earth,
Feeling the stillness and the stability of the earth,
Feeling the stillness and the stability of the body.
Starting to connect with the body more as a field of changing sensations as opposed to a solid form with sharp edges.
Take a moment to feel the body in this way.
It's just a field with tiny changing sensations,
Yet connected,
Grounded,
Resting on the earth,
Starting to become aware of the sensations of the breath,
Which are part of this larger field of sensations.
Staying present and grounded with the sensation of the breath for just a moment,
Leaving the eyes closed,
Visualize the room around you,
The walls,
The floor,
The ceiling,
The objects in the room.
Place yourself in the room.
Take a deep inhale,
Exhale,
Sigh it out through the mouth.
One more cleansing breath.
Deep inhale,
Exhale,
Sigh it out.
When you're ready,
Blink the eyes open gently.
Thank you for practicing with me,
For sharing your light and love.
Namaste.
