Welcome to a dash of meditation.
If you're in the middle of travel,
Rushing between gates,
Living out of a suitcase,
Or juggling your work while on the go,
This short practice is for you.
Whether you're traveling for business or for fun,
In just five minutes,
We'll slow down the inner chaos and bring you back to something steady,
Your breath.
Let's begin.
Whether you're seated at an airport gate,
Riding in a car,
Or taking a quiet moment in your hotel room,
Just pause right here.
As always,
Let's begin by taking a deep breath in through your nose,
And exhale slowly through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale long and steady,
Exhale,
Let something drop away.
Let your breath return to a natural pace.
Let this moment be enough.
Travel can pull you in every direction,
Fast decisions,
Shifting schedules,
Delays,
And unfamiliar places,
And yet,
Your breath is always home.
So let's anchor there.
With each inhale,
Say to yourself,
I arrive.
With each exhale,
I release.
Inhale,
I arrive,
Exhale,
I release.
You may feel tension in your shoulders,
Your jaw,
Or your stomach.
That's okay,
Just notice.
With each breath,
See if you can soften bit by bit.
You don't need to solve everything right now.
You don't need to be everywhere at once.
Right now,
Just be here.
Let your awareness gently expand.
Notice the sounds around you.
Notice the sensation of your body touching the seat beneath you.
Notice the movement or stillness in this moment.
Whatever came before this breath is over,
And whatever is coming next can wait just a few more minutes.
Right now,
You're arriving into yourself.
Repeat one more phrase quietly in your mind,
I can move through this with calm.
Inhale the words,
I can move through this.
Exhale the words with calm.
Now,
Slowly bring your awareness back to your surroundings.
Feel the ground beneath you,
And notice your breath,
Steady and clear.
Wherever you're headed,
May you bring this sense of calm with you.
Even in motion,
You can be grounded.
Even on the move,
You can find peace.
Until next time,
Take a breath and keep going gently.
