Welcome to a dash of meditation.

The way you speak to yourself shapes the way you show up in the world.

In this meditation,

We'll practice positive self-talk and see if we can mute the inner critic.

Before we begin,

Settle deeper into your seat and gently close your eyes.

Take a slow inhale through the nose and a gentle exhale through the mouth.

Think for a moment about how often we let our inner critic run the show.

If someone else said,

You're not ready,

You're not enough,

You'll mess this up,

You'd probably tell them they are wrong.

And yet,

We often let that voice repeat in our minds.

Take a deep breath in,

Hold it for just a beat.

Exhale slowly,

Releasing some of that mental chatter.

Self-talk is a habit,

And like any habit,

It can shift.

Bring to mind a recent challenge,

A meeting,

A presentation,

Or a tough conversation.

Notice the words you used with yourself leading up to it.

Now,

Take a breath in,

And with your exhale,

Imagine letting go of those old,

Critical words.

As you inhale again,

Silently add,

I am capable.

And as you exhale,

Silently repeat,

I am prepared.

And again,

Inhale,

I belong here.

Exhale,

I trust myself.

Positive self-talk is about choosing words that strengthen you.

Notice what happens in your body when you shift your words.

Take a steady inhale,

Shoulders lifting slightly,

And exhale,

Shoulders softening down.

Another breath in,

Focus sharpening.

And out,

Tension releasing.

Your physiology responds to the way you speak to yourself.

Let's practice this together.

Inhale deeply,

Filling your lungs with self-respect.

Exhale fully,

Releasing doubt.

Again,

Inhale,

I am capable.

Exhale,

I am enough.

One more time,

Inhale,

I trust myself.

And with this exhale,

Let those words settle into your body.

Feel how different it is to carry these phrases instead of criticism.

The way you talk to yourself becomes the foundation of your self-esteem.

So as you head back into your day,

Keep this breath rhythm as a reminder.

Inhale confidence,

Exhale doubt.

Because true confidence isn't built from pressure,

It's built from alignment.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes and come back to your space.

Until next time,

May your breath guide you,

And may your self-talk be kind.
