Welcome to the first of your 7 chakra meditations within the 7 days of rewiring your nervous system.

Your root chakra is located at the base of your spine within the pelvic bowl.

And it concerns itself with your basic primal needs.

It concerns itself with your connection to the earth and with the relationships to the people around you.

Please begin by finding a comfortable seated position.

Relax your hips.

Feel your sitting bones connecting to the support beneath you.

Soften the pelvic floor.

And connect to a completely natural breath.

And then allowing your attention to settle into the space of your pelvis.

The information that you receive during this meditation on the root chakra.

Allow this information to settle into your body.

Allow it to settle into your psyche.

And embody it into your experience.

You can visualize or imagine the root vortex located within the muscles of your perineum within the pelvic floor.

It is associated with the earth element.

And it is also associated with the color red,

Brown,

Black or grey.

It governs the parasympathetic nervous system.

Which is your rest and repair response.

Keeping you in physical balance.

It governs your legs,

Feet,

Spine,

Bones and blood.

Your sciatic nerves,

Your colon and your sexual organs.

Your root chakra plays a major role in the health of your adrenal glands,

In your bladder,

Your hips and your teeth.

It is quite literally your survival center.

It concerns itself with all your needs.

From your more primitive basic needs like food and shelter,

Affection and care.

To more developed or complex needs like understanding,

Belonging.

It concerns itself with your primary sense of safety and security.

With the feeling of stability.

With your capacity to trust.

With courage,

Instinct.

With your primal and sexual energy.

With your resourcefulness.

It is connected to the present moment.

And it holds generational trauma.

And is related to your tribe and the people around you.

Receive this information on the root chakra within your nervous system.

And allow it to settle into your body for a moment.

Allow it to settle into your experience.

Staying connected to completely natural breaths.

Your root chakra is consistently connecting you to your needs.

In order to grow and evolve you as a being.

Therefore it is so important to acknowledge that you have needs.

And that these require to be met.

The root chakra is also in a constant energy exchange with the earth.

You can imagine the energy within the root chakra as both drawing energy up from the earth into the pelvis.

As well as putting energy out and down into the earth.

If you experience any misalignment,

Any imbalance within the aspects concerning your root chakra.

What will happen is that all the other chakras higher within your energy field will start to compensate.

This is why it is again so important to meet your needs.

To find ways in which your needs can be met.

So that your primal sense of safety,

Of security,

Of belonging is established.

Your root chakra is rooted to the present moment.

And it is the chakra that directly grounds you into this time-space reality.

It therefore is completely connected to the here and now.

And the healing that may be required in this chakra may confront you with all the ways in which you feel disconnected.

It may confront you with all the ways in which your needs aren't being met.

Do not resist this process.

Accept that you have needs.

That these needs are required to be met.

And that you can find and cultivate ways in which you can meet these needs directly.

And here I'd like you to acknowledge that you cannot heal yourself from desire.

The desire is a part of the driving force that rests beneath all existence,

Beneath all evolution essentially.

It is the driving force that urges us to evolve,

To succeed,

To expand,

To reproduce and to excel.

Accept that you need the foundation,

The primary basics which ground you into this physical experience,

Which ground you into this time-space reality.

And that these needs require to be met in order for you to expand.

This chakra defines the dynamics of interdependence with your relationship to the earth,

To everything around you,

To the people and connections that you cultivate.

And the most important form of healing that can happen within this chakra is to find and ground into safe and secure relationships with others and social connections that feel nourishing to you,

That feel grounding,

Supportive.

And again,

Just allowing this information to settle into your nervous system,

Let it find its way into your body,

Staying connected to completely natural breaths.

Your root chakra is also concerning itself with your fears and do not try and resist these fears.

Do not try to get rid of these fears.

Do not deny them or be brave despite of them.

Do not be brave despite of your fears.

Instead,

Allow your fears to be an essential part of your primal reality and rather attend to your fears with care,

With acceptance,

With acknowledgement that they have a purpose in your survival.

That your fears are not working against you,

That they are simply a form of information that you receive about what you can do or change or cultivate within yourself or your environment.

Allowing your fears to be a part of you allows you to integrate them into this information that you're receiving,

That you're beginning to connect to,

That you're beginning to embody.

And within this practice of contemplation,

Of receiving information and allowing it to become a part of you,

Visualize or imagine the color red within your pelvis.

It can be a bright red or a deep earthy red.

And imagining this color red within the bowl of your pelvis,

You can imagine it as this vortex of energy at your root,

Staying connected to completely natural breaths.

And feeding this color,

This vortex of energy with your breath,

Nourishing it.

And within closing this practice,

Closing this contemplation,

Feel yourself grounded,

Connected.

Feel yourself belonging to the world around you,

Acknowledging that you are a part of it and that it is a part of you.

And that there is a beautiful relationship of interdependence between you and the world.

Taking a moment to gently close your practice.

Namaste.
