Your business,
Your work,
Is tied to your identity,
Whether you realize it or not.
Hey there,
Friend.
My name is Anthony,
And thanks for hitting play today.
Over the past couple of months,
I've been working with fellow meditation teachers and spiritual creators who want to step into this work or feeling stuck in where they are in their business and work right now.
And I keep circling back to this notion of your business and work being tied to your identity.
And we usually don't realize that.
Because if you're doing this type of work,
You may think,
I help people heal.
I hold space.
I don't want to perform.
I don't want pressure anyone.
I want my work to feel authentic.
And in many ways,
If you're doing this type of heart-centered work,
You are the business as a solo person.
So your clients and the people you support and want to work with,
They're not really buying one-on-one sessions from you or programs from you.
They're buying trust in you.
That means your voice,
Your presence,
And your point of view are crucial.
And it also means how you see yourself matters.
I see this come up again and again in myself and with other teachers.
We want clients,
But we resist being seen.
We want to sell more programs and retreats,
But we fear sounding pushy.
We want our business,
Our work to grow,
But we don't want to become marketers.
We want to gain momentum and have traction.
But we keep hiding behind content and social media and meditation tracks.
We yearn for crystal clear clarity.
But we avoid committing to one thing.
We keep changing our message.
We keep changing our authors.
Because choosing one lane feels like we're losing a part of ourselves.
And the problem with all of this is,
Is that if we don't fully own the identity we're being called to step into,
As guides,
Coaches,
Or creators,
We'll keep unconsciously pulling ourselves back.
We'll keep doubting ourselves.
We'll avoid the thing we know we need to do to allow our work to enter its next chapter.
And if you're doing this work,
It's so easy to focus on the obvious things.
Posting on social media,
Planning,
Creating,
Recording.
But the less obvious were.
That needs to be attended to is focusing on your identity.
Deciding on who you truly want to be as a guide,
As a coach,
And a creator.
How does the guide in me act today?
How does the creative person in me spend the next 30 minutes?
How does the heart-centered version of me speak,
Choose,
Rest,
And relate to others?
And this also applies to seasoned teachers and coaches too.
You might ask yourself,
What version of me is this season of my business asking me to own?
Perhaps the one who fully embraces marketing themselves?
Perhaps the one who openly makes invitations to their dream clients and the people they want to work with?
Perhaps it's just the one willing to commit to one thing.
Commit to one message.
One healing modality.
One true identity for now.
Our work as guides and creators is always pointing us to a greater expression of ourselves.
What would it be like to lean into that identity?
A little more.
Thanks for listening today.
Hope this helps you in your work.
Talk to you soon.
