Hello and welcome.

Let's begin a meditation called Blossoming of Self.

So beautiful and so exactly who you are,

Taking on your healing journey,

Blossoming into the person that you always were meant to be.

Beautiful.

Let's begin.

But first,

My name is Salima,

Yoga therapist,

Trauma-informed yoga therapist,

And also lead mentor for Yoga Vision's Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Program.

More information about that in my bio at yogavision.

Com.

All right,

Let's begin this meditation.

And the first thing to do is sit up tall and straight.

You can do this meditation seated on a chair,

On the couch,

In your bed,

Or even on the floor,

Cross-legged.

The key is to have a tall,

Straight spine.

And as you arrange yourself,

Take a moment now to roll your shoulders out so that you're comfortable and relaxed.

Take a moment to stretch your arms all the way up above your head,

Wiggle your fingers up at the top,

And then slowly,

Gently,

Gracefully bring them all the way back down.

This meditation is from the Kundalini yoga experience.

And so the pieces of that are inspired by Kundalini yoga.

Sitting up tall and straight,

I'll give you some instructions here,

But basically what we're going to be doing is making a shape of a flower with our hands.

And to do that,

And then using our breath in order to open the flower and then softly close the flower.

So imagine that you're,

Imagine a lotus in front of you,

A lotus flower that's pink or white,

And that it's floating just above the mud,

Roots are right down into the mud,

And the beauty of this flower blossoms through the nutrients that it's able to absorb from the mud.

There's a very famous saying,

No mud,

No lotus.

And so here we are.

Press the base of your palms together and open your fingertips really wide and keep this mudra,

This hand position,

Just around the level of your throat.

And the fingers will open and close from this position.

So as you inhale now,

Keeping your palms together,

Keep the base of your palms together,

Open your fingers as if they were a blossoming flower.

And as you exhale,

Bring your your thumb tips,

Your baby fingers,

Your ring finger,

Index finger and middle finger to touch.

So inhale,

Open that blossom and exhale,

Close everything gently.

Inhale as you open and exhale as you close the flower.

Concentrate on moving your fingers,

Opening and closing,

Keeping the base of your palms together.

Close your eyes now and imagine yourself with this phrase,

I am infinity,

I am the lotus.

I am infinity as you open and as you close,

I am the lotus.

Concentrate on eyes gently closed,

Your straight spine and the movement of your fingers in the rhythm of your breath.

We're here for just another few moments,

Mentally repeating to yourself,

I am infinity,

I am the lotus.

Feel as if you yourself are blossoming,

Are opening up.

To gain full benefits of these practices and the other ones that I've shared here,

40 days.

It takes 40 days to create a habit.

Beautiful.

Open your palms and just visualize yourself in the base of this flower.

The beauty,

The majesty,

The experience of blossoming belongs to you.

Thank you so much for joining in today.
