Whether you're settling down into the evening or preparing for sleep,
This meditation will help you wind down and detox your mind from all the screens of the day.
Whenever you are ready,
You can set your phone or laptop screen down.
On the table.
Begin to place a hand over your heart.
And just start to feel the subtle difference between.
The contact of your warm,
Human hands.
And the cold glass of your device.
Begin to rub your two palms bristly together until it generates heat.
Once you get them nice and warm,
Cup your palms gently over your closed eyes,
Letting the warmth and the darkness bathe your optic nerves.
Imagining pixels draining away like sand through your fingers.
You can leave your hands on your eyes or bring your hands gently down.
And begin to inhale for a slow count of 4 3 2 1 and exhale for a count of 6 5 4 3 2 1.
Let's do that for 4 more rounds.
Inhaling for 4 3 2 1.
Exhaling for 6 5 4 3 2 1.
Continue to do the last three rounds on your own.
Let's do the final inhale of 4 3 2 1 and exhale for 6 5 4 3 2 1.
Finally,
Let's end this meditation by gently humming to ourselves for the next 30 seconds.
For the next 30 seconds beginning now.
Hmm.
Just gently continue with your humming or bee sounds for the next 15 seconds.
Whenever you feel complete.
Begin to slide into rest or slide into sleep knowing that the digital world can wait.
