Hi love,
I'm Winnie and I'm an IFS Life Coach that will be guiding you through this meditation to deepen your connection with a part of you in this moment.
Whenever you're ready,
You can find a quiet place where it feels safe to close your eyes or gently bring your gaze softly in front of you.
Let's begin by taking three deep breaths in through the nose and exhaling out.
Let's take two more deep breaths in exhaling it out final deep breath in and releasing out any tension.
Feeling yourself becoming present in your body and turning your awareness inward.
I want you to begin to notice if there are any sensations that may be arising throughout your body.
Could be tingling,
Prickling,
Heat,
Cooling,
Pressure or lightness.
Just begin to observe with curiosity any sensations that may be arising and if you notice that a particular part of your body has a little bit more sensation than others just bring your awareness there and begin to observe if these sensations have any color,
Texture,
Weight or shape to them.
There doesn't need to be any pressure in trying to figure anything out just allowing whatever to come up to come up and whatever doesn't come up to just be.
But if you have noticed that these sensations have taken a color,
Shape or form,
Can you begin to notice if these sensations have any emotion behind them?
If you do notice a particular emotion,
Can you start to see if there are any stories or memories that may be tied to this emotion?
And if you do begin to see a memory or a story,
Could you begin to ask which part of me is showing me this story?
Perhaps asking it,
How old are you?
Maybe asking what is your job in my life?
What is your role?
And if it does show you its role,
Perhaps you can ask when did you first take on this role,
This job for me?
And then perhaps asking what do you wish I understood about you?
Slowly begin to thank this part for expressing itself and being brave enough to show up today.
Perhaps if it feels true to you,
You can offer it some gratitude for all its efforts thus far and let it know that you're here to get to know it and to listen.
Perhaps you can ask what do you need from me to feel more at ease?
If any resistance or hesitation arises,
Just honor it.
Perhaps this is the first time that you're meeting this part and this part doesn't fully trust you yet and that totally makes sense.
Let this part know that there's no pressure coming from you,
Just curiosity and care.
Thanking this part of you now for sharing all that it did with you.
Let it know that you can and will return to get to know it better.
Whenever you're ready,
Slowly bring your awareness back to your breath,
Back to your body,
Taking a deep breath in and out.
And you can gently open your eyes.
