Hi love,

I'm Winnie and I'm a Somatic Breathwork Life Coach,

And today I'll be guiding you through a 5 minute breathwork practice that you can use on a daily basis to clear out any stress and return back to a regulated nervous system.

For the first 2 minutes of our breathwork,

We will be breathing in and out of the mouth.

Then we will have a 30 second breath hold in between that usually helps people find a lot of clarity.

Then for the last 2 minutes,

We will be breathing in and out of our nose.

So whenever you're ready,

You can just begin to settle into your space,

Getting into a comfortable seated position.

You can softly begin to close your eyes if it feels safe to do so,

And just begin to notice your body.

Where is your body contacting the chair,

The floor,

The couch,

Wherever you are seated.

Once you're seated,

Begin to notice how your body feels.

Does it feel light,

Heavy?

For this breathwork,

I invite you to use your breath to clear out anything in your body,

Anything in your system that you don't want to carry anymore.

Slowly begin to consciously control your breath,

Breathing in and out of the mouth,

Breathing deeply into the belly,

And finding a breathing pattern that is right for you.

You can breathe to the rhythm of the music,

Or just breathing at your own pace.

That's it.

Keep on going,

In and out,

Through your mouth,

Finding your own rhythm.

Use your breath to clear out any stress or any tension that may be in your body.

Use your breath like a broom to sweep it all out.

That's it.

Deep breaths.

What does your body want you to clear out?

Use the breath.

Let's do 10 more deep breaths in.

Three more deep breaths.

Now begin to slow it down as we go into our breath hold.

Beginning to take a deep breath in.

Let everything go with a sigh.

Let's take another deep breath in.

Once again,

Letting everything go with a sigh.

Now let's take our final deep breath in.

Holding here at the top,

And connecting to how you really would like to feel today.

You can stay in this breath hold for as long as you need to.

But whenever you're ready,

You can let that breath go.

Now let's switch to breathing in and out through the nose.

Breathing in and out through the nose.

With each breath,

Breathing in more of the feeling that you want for your day.

Building more and more of that feeling with each breath that you take.

Allowing this feeling to get stronger and stronger.

How good can you let yourself feel?

Slowing it down,

Let's breathe five more deep breaths through the nose.

Let's breathe our deepest breath of this practice.

And let it go with a sigh.

Let's take another deep breath in.

Letting it go with a sigh once more.

Let's take our final deep breath in.

Letting it all go.

And just when you need to take the next breath of air,

Can you breathe in the feeling of gratitude into your heart.

With each incoming breath,

Anchoring that feeling of gratitude in for this day.

Now slowly coming back to your body,

To this room,

And to this present moment.
