Find a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
Soften your neck,
Relax your shoulders and take a moment to settle.
Feeling your breath,
Breathing in and out.
Let your breath slow down and feel your whole body arrive here and take a few moments to simply be here.
Noticing whatever thoughts,
Feelings or sensations are present in this moment.
Now gently turn your attention towards your breath,
The calming breath,
The soothing breath.
The breath that connects your mind and body.
Feel each inhale creating a little space and each exhale inviting a gentle release.
Breathing in and opening.
Breathing out and softening.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Let the breath find its own steady rhythm.
Now imagine yourself standing at the edge of a wide,
Peaceful field.
The air is fresh,
The grass sways softly with the breeze and you feel the warmth of the sun on your skin.
You begin to walk through the fields,
Your steps slow and easy.
With each step you feel your body loosening and your mind growing quieter.
In the distance you see an orchard of apple trees.
The branches are full and the leaves are shimmering.
You walk towards them,
Feeling the earth steady beneath your feet.
You choose an apple from the tree and feel its smooth skin,
Its warmth from the sun and its comforting weight in your hand.
Allow this moment to fill you with a sense of abundance,
Simplicity and ease.
You gather a few more apples,
Placing them gently in a basket or in your hands.
Each one a small symbol of nourishment and moments of sweetness collected just for you.
You find a soft place beneath one of the trees.
You sit,
You rest and you let the gentle calm of this orchard wash over you.
You lift one of the apples to your mouth and take a slow,
Mindful bite.
Feel the gentle crunch,
The coolness of the fruit and the burst of flavour as it enters your senses.
Let this simple moment remind you of how nourishing life can be and when you pause to truly taste it.
Breathing in calm,
Breathing out and release.
Breathing in softness and breathing out anything you no longer need.
Take a deep,
Nourishing breath in and slowly let go.
Bring your awareness back to your body,
Feeling the support beneath you,
The rise and fall of your chest and belly as you breathe.
Wiggle your fingers and toes and slowly connecting with the room around you.
Take one more deep breath in and exhale fully.
Carrying with you the calm,
