This is your time to pause,
To breathe,
To gently let go.
Today we take a gentle journey into love,
Not the loud or hurried kind but the quiet love that surrounds you every day.
With each breath you're invited to rest into presence,
To notice love in the simple moments,
To offer kindness towards yourself and to gently extend compassion outwards to others.
Let's begin the meditation.
Settle yourself into a comfortable position,
Allowing your body to be fully supported.
Let your hands rest softly,
Your shoulders relaxed and allow your whole body to soften.
Take a slow breath in and a long easy breath out.
Again,
Breathing in and gently releasing.
Allow your breath to find its own natural rhythm,
Unforced,
Easy,
Steady.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
For this time of practice,
Place anything you need to do gently to one side.
You have nowhere to go and nothing to do at this time of practice.
And with each breath,
Soften the body,
Soften the face,
The jaw,
The shoulders and allow the breath to bring you fully into this moment.
Today we gently open to the love that surrounds us every day.
Love is not only found in romantic moments,
It lives quietly in connection,
Kindness,
Nature and care.
Think of a simple moment,
The warmth of your morning tea or coffee,
A smile shared or the comfort of knowing you are supported.
Love appears in unexpected ways,
A kind word from a friend,
A smile shared with a stranger,
A helping hand offered just when you need it.
It lives in our connections with family,
Friends and loved ones.
Relationships that support us and lift our spirits.
Love also shows up in small acts of kindness,
A comforting touch,
A moment of understanding,
Listening deeply when someone needs to be heard.
These moments may seem small,
Yet their impact can ripple far beyond what we realize.
Turn your attention now to the natural world.
Notice how love flows through nature,
The warmth of the sun on your skin,
The sound of rain,
The grounding feeling of walking through the bush,
The earth beneath your feet,
The birds in the trees.
These moments invite us to pause,
To open our hearts and to remember that love is always present.
Love does not always shout,
Often it whispers quietly in the background of our lives.
With each breath,
Allow this energy of love to move through you,
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Now bring one hand to your heart,
Feel the warmth beneath your palms and silently repeat to yourself,
I am worthy of love.
I am deserving of love.
I am love.
With each inhale,
Allow kindness to fill your chest.
With each exhale,
Rest in comfort,
Calm and openness.
Now bring to mind someone you care about.
Visualize them surrounded by a soft,
Gentle light.
Silently offer them these words,
May you be happy,
May you be healthy,
May you feel loved.
Now allow this loving energy to expand to others in your life and out into the world.
Breathing in love,
Breathing out love.
Take one final slow breath in,
Noticing the sense of warmth and connection within you and as you breathe out,
Allow a soft smile to rest on your face.
We will now begin to awaken the body.
Begin to gently wiggle your fingers and toes and when you're ready,
Slowly opening your eyes.
Carry this feeling of calm and love with you,
Knowing it's always available to you within and all around you.
