Welcome.

This is your time to pause,

To breathe,

To gently let go.

A moment to rest,

To settle and to come back home to yourself.

As we enter the Christmas season,

It's a time of peace,

Kindness and the giving of our hearts.

We pause to remember the true meaning of this time of the year.

A season that invites us to appreciate the people we love,

To connect with gratitude and to welcome a deeper sense of peace.

Let's begin the meditation.

I invite you to close or soften your eyes and start to notice how you're feeling today.

Set aside your to-do list,

Let the day pause here.

Now take three releasing deep breaths,

Inhaling deeply through the nose,

Holding for a moment and then breathing out through the mouth with a soft sigh.

Ah,

Continue two more on your own.

Now returning back to your natural breath.

Soft,

Easy,

And forced.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Soften the face,

The forehead,

The eyes,

Cheeks,

Mouth and jaw.

Relax the shoulders,

Wrists,

Chest,

Back,

Hips,

Legs and feet.

Your whole body is calm and relaxed.

With each exhale,

Releasing any tightness or tension left.

Allow the body to soften into the surface beneath you.

Feel yourself calming,

Settling,

Arriving.

If thoughts appear,

Gently place each one on a soft cloud and watch it drift away for this time of practice.

Then come back to the breath,

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

I invite you to imagine that it is Christmas time.

You're in a cozy,

Soft lit room with warm fairy lights and candles.

The scent of a fresh pine tree fills the space,

Calming,

Comfortable,

Familiar.

You begin to decorate the tree.

Each ornament holds a memory,

A moment,

A story from your life.

The lights shimmer gently across each branch.

You place the star on top of the tree.

A symbol of hope,

Guidance and light.

You step back and admire the tree,

Feeling a soft glow of contentment.

Then imagine the joyful sounds of Christmas day.

Laughter,

Conversation,

The rustle of wrapping paper,

Warm words of gratitude.

A wave of Christmas cheer fills the space around you.

Take a moment to reflect on what makes this season special for you.

Perhaps the people you love,

The memories you cherish,

Or simply the gift of slowing down.

Let gratitude fill your heart for peace,

For joy,

For the love that surrounds you.

For the simple moments that bring you comfort.

For the kindness you give and receive.

For the memories that shape this season.

And for the gentle blessings already here.

Feel it expand through your entire being.

You are safe.

You are calm.

You are supported and held by the spirit of this Christmas season.

Repeat softly in your mind,

These affirmations.

I welcome peace into my heart this Christmas.

I allow myself to slow down and savour this season.

I choose kindness for myself and for others.

I open myself to moments of joy and connection.

My heart is soft,

Calm and filled with gratitude.

Breathing in a sense of calm.

Breathing out love and joy.

For those you care about.

Breathing in a sense of calm.

Breathing out love and joy for those you care about.

We will begin to bring awareness back into the body.

Feel the weight of your body resting.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Roll your shoulders gently.

And when you're ready,

Blinking your eyes a few times.

Notice how you feel.

May this Christmas season bring you peace,

Joy and happiness.
