Hello and welcome to our community meditation space.
My name is Vivian Gerard and it is my delight to be guiding us in a meditation for the full moon in Cancer.
This is the first meditation for 2025 so I begin by wishing you a very happy new year and opening up a space for so much that is going to be shifting and changing in 2025.
It really is an incredible portal astrologically and so this is the first of many meditations that we will be taking together as we go through this portal.
Let's go ahead close your eyes.
This is intended to be a meditation that feels like you are sitting in a community space with me.
We are in the same room side by side tapping into the energy together and so it is an unedited experience of breathing and yawning and moving energy with me.
Allow my voice to guide you and allow my breathing to guide you.
It is a process to really help you embody and shift the energy as the astrology is guiding and supporting us and so breath is a powerful tool to align the movement of the energy.
You can match the way that I'm breathing or just allow my breath to help move the energy for you.
Okay eyes closed,
Feet planted on the floor if you're able to or if you're laying down really stretch out and allow your body to take up more room to expand so you stretch out your legs your arms you open up your shoulders and your heart space.
Allow your muscles to stretch out and then start to relax.
When we cross the threshold of a new year there is an energy that goes with it of completion,
Endings and beginnings.
Sometimes we feel like we're right on schedule and we have all the completions done.
Sometimes it lingers,
It drags forward for a few weeks maybe even a few months into the new year.
The new moon at the end of 2024 amplified a push and nudge across that threshold and now this full moon is inviting us into even more of a completion energy,
A culmination of the things that we have been exploring and working on so that we can receive the lessons,
Embody the wisdom and then release what is ready to go.
So you may be feeling a lot of currents in different directions moving inside of you and around you.
My intention for today's meditation is to really guide us into our own inner landscape,
To help us find the center within and then smooth the energy through our bodies.
Slow down the pace of all of the activity inside of ourselves so that we can feel and discern what are we keeping and what are we letting go.
So there may be a lot of energy that moves as we're in this meditation process.
When you focus on your feet and allow the energy to go down and then connect your feet to the earth,
Your feet can become the clearing agent,
The portal,
The place where the energy that serves stays and the energy that doesn't serve releases into the earth.
So at any time during this meditation,
If you feel wobbly or unsteady,
Bring your attention down to your feet.
In your mind's eye,
See your feet,
Feel your feet,
Bring all of your power,
All of your attention down through your body,
Through your legs to your feet.
And each time you do that,
You are grounding your consciousness,
Your awareness more in your body.
And when you do that,
You start to fill your body up with you,
With your presence.
There you go with your energy,
With the beauty,
The magic that makes you unique,
The one and only version of the soul in the human form that is living this lifetime that is you.
And as we move through 2025,
I'll be weaving the astrology into this meditation,
But this is a really important one right at the beginning.
As we move through 2025,
Pluto is in Aquarius.
And Aquarius is the sign of being unique,
Embodying it,
Loving it,
Sharing,
Exploring,
Exemplifying you,
The one you that exists on this planet.
Pluto is the sign of transformation.
And so this whole year is going to be a journey of shedding whatever is no longer aligned with the true us inside.
And then feeling your sense of belonging in the communities that match that unique expression of you.
The more you embody and become authentically yourself and express that,
The easier,
The more magnetic it becomes for you to find the communities that align with that version of you,
That expression of you.
So a lot of this at the beginning here in this meditation is for your mind.
It's to help your mind have words and context and structure for how much of the energy is actually shifting in your body.
When our mind starts to understand the framework,
It can organize the energy in a way that supports the movement of the energy through your body.
So focus on your feet and invite more of you to come into your human moment right now.
So you magnetize the parts of you that track all the people around you,
That monitor your assignments,
Your tasks,
The things to get done in life.
Call all of you,
Your power,
Your magnetism,
Call it into you,
The human body.
You might feel a whoosh or a heaviness,
A density as your energy comes into your body.
Just focus on relaxing your muscles and allowing that arrival of your awareness into your body to be easy,
To be gentle.
It's more of a homecoming,
Like,
Oh,
That's right.
We get so busy with all of the things that make up this human realm.
We sometimes forget to come and be present inside of ourselves with our body,
With our mind,
With our soul,
With our heart.
So relax your muscles.
Maybe lean back.
Allow yourself to feel the support behind you.
I'm sitting on the floor on my meditation pillow with a cushion behind me and a wall supporting my back.
I can feel how held my human is in this moment.
I'm safe.
There's no disruption around me.
Allow yourself to match that sense of safety,
Home,
Calm,
Quiet.
Here in our area of the United States,
We just had a huge snowfall.
When you step outside the front door,
There's that quiet,
That hush.
When you don't hear traffic,
You don't hear nature,
You just see and feel silence,
This beauty of white clearing everything.
Match that inside of your human body.
Any places that feel friction or tightness,
Imagine you can send that staticky kind of energy all the way down through your body to your feet.
You don't need to know what it is or try to decipher or unravel stories in this moment.
What if you simply can move it?
You send the sticky,
Gunky,
Heavier energy that may have been making you feel uncomfortable or tight inside.
It's the feeling we have when perhaps we eat something and we're not quite sure if we enjoy how it feels when it's being digested.
There's just that uncomfortable feeling inside.
Energy can feel that way also.
So you use your breath and you visualize anything that is not in alignment with that feeling,
That hush,
That silence of a pure white snowfall and no sound.
Anything that is not a match to that,
You imagine that staticky,
Gunky energy can move down through your body all the way down to your feet.
You can allow a yawn to help send that energy down.
And why are we doing this?
Let's help our minds support this meditation energy clearing that we are doing.
When our body is jumbled inside and the energy is staticky,
Confused,
Not clearly understood,
When there's a turbulence inside of our body,
It's hard to trust the decisions that we need to make throughout the day.
The decisions of what we do with our time,
Who we spend our time with,
How we share our gifts,
Our unique expression of soul,
The words that we use to communicate the emotions that guide all of our decisions.
When there's turbulence inside,
It impacts every aspect of how we live our lives.
Not that it's wrong,
But it's perhaps not optimal.
When we clear the static,
When we,
So just match what I'm doing,
When you send the static,
The turbulence all the way down through your body to your feet,
You just allow that bumpy,
Gunky energy,
You allow it to go all the way down through to your feet.
And then you release it into the earth and you relax your muscles.
You start to create within yourself a quieter space.
You can fill it with light or a sense of calm or love or compassion.
If you choose,
It doesn't have to be empty space.
But when it's not turbulent energy,
When it's quiet,
Calm energy inside,
Your nervous system calms down.
The speed of your thoughts and the quality of your thoughts calm down.
There's a gentleness,
A softness that starts to move through your heart chakra.
Your awareness inside of you is heightened,
Meaning you're able to feel what's actually happening inside of you with more awareness.
When we have more awareness of anything,
We are more empowered to choose.
So for example,
If we have awareness that our thoughts are quieter,
Now we can choose what kinds of thoughts we want to be thinking.
When we have awareness that our heart is feeling softer or calmer or gentler,
Now we have choice.
Do we want to go back to the feeling of resistance or projection or pain,
Perhaps that we experienced before?
Or do we want to choose to keep our heart gentle and soft?
When we are unaware,
When we are busy inside and we don't have that awareness,
We operate on default.
We think the thoughts we've already been thinking for a while.
We feel the feelings that we're just automatically feeling.
We do the things we've always done because we're on autopilot.
And autopilot isn't right or wrong.
It's simply a state of being,
A way of operating.
If we're on autopilot for a life that thrills and delights us and we're living the life of our dreams,
Then autopilot is working for us.
For many people,
Autopilot is almost a state of numbness or ordinariness,
Normalcy.
It's not always a life that is thrilling us or expressing,
Like I was describing with Aquarius,
Expressing the unique expression,
Magic beauty of our soul.
When we are in a state of awareness more and more often,
And we can choose our thoughts,
Our emotions,
The ways that we are allowing energy to move through us and create through us,
Our lives become more intentional.
We are able to align more and more with the bigger version of ourselves,
The more magical version of ourselves.
When it's quiet inside,
Like it is right now,
We can hear what our soul wants us to be doing,
Expressing.
In quiet meditation space like this,
We'll bring in the full moon and cancer energy.
Cancer is about home,
Relationships.
I picture the turtle with its shell.
It has everything it needs right inside of itself,
And yet it's just walking its way forward to wherever it wants to move its little home next.
When we are quiet inside,
Like we are,
And we tap into that full moon and cancer energy,
We can get a sense of the relationships that are top priority for us.
So allow your soul to show you who are those people that matter the most to you.
The ones that,
When your heart,
Like right now,
Taps into those humans,
The souls in those human bodies,
Your heart just melts,
Expands,
Smiles,
Cries,
Laughs.
It's so delighted that those souls in human form are in your life,
That you get to be with them and play with them and talk to them and hang out with them live life with them.
If there is pain or grief that comes up,
Because sometimes when our heart loves in really big ways and then stories come to an end,
This is the full moon energy also.
We can have a completion or the journey that we took with that person ran its cycle and now each one is headed in different directions.
We can miss them,
We can grieve them.
Allow your heart to feel what is actually true inside of you right now.
It may be the most dynamic,
Beautiful combination of grief and love.
It may be only love with waves and waves as you think of all of the people in your life that you absolutely treasure.
It may be deep waves of grief.
If so,
Breathe.
Breathe.
You are so strong.
You are so resilient.
Your heart,
In order to grieve at that level,
Must have loved immensely.
So allow yourself to feel like the power and strength of your heart space.
We'll bring this back to awareness.
When we are quiet inside like you are,
Right now,
And we focus on the energy of the full moon and cancer with heightened awareness,
We sometimes can see how the autopilot way that we are living has us missing some of the opportunities to be with or communicate with or deeply listen to and connect with those relationships that we are tapping into right now.
A full moon and cancer may show us where we're out of alignment with the way that our heart actually would want us to be spending our time.
Maybe we're working too much,
Or maybe even when we are together,
We're not present together.
In this quiet space inside,
It's not about judgment or perhaps it's a little bit about regret,
But it's not about judgment or shame or punishment.
When we sit in a quiet space within of awareness,
It's about awareness as an opportunity for change.
So at this full moon and cancer,
What changes is your soul perhaps showing you?
Not that it's right or wrong,
But it's a new potential choice that perhaps will take you in a slightly different direction.
Allow your breath,
Your yawns to release whatever is ready to go.
Run it all the way down to your feet and into the earth.
I'm going to weave in another layer of astrology that's very significant at this time.
The lunar nodes are shifting axis,
Which happens every year and a half,
And we are moving the north node into Pisces from Aries and the south node into Virgo.
What this means is we are at a feeling of a crossroads,
A choice point.
The north node in Pisces is the call of the unknown.
It's like the voice in the movie Frozen where she hears that echo coming across the icy landscape.
She can't see anyone,
But she feels this voice calling her into a new place.
That shift is beginning just a couple days before the full moon.
Then we have a full moon and cancer,
Which is so much about our heart space,
Our relationships,
Our safety,
Our home,
Our feeling of belonging here in our lives,
In our communities,
In our relationships on this planet.
As we sit in this feeling of home,
We hear this call into something not yet known.
Can you feel the push-pull,
The tug at the edges of our sense of safety?
This is why sitting in a quiet space without that inner turbulence,
Just a calm,
Smooth cocoon within is the way to find clarity,
To trust our own inner landscape,
Our own decisions that come from this meditation space.
When we tune in and we listen like you are right now,
Your soul shows you.
Your body,
It gives you clues.
It helps you move the energy and then hold space and your heart guides you.
You are such a beautiful,
Complicated system of energy,
Mind,
Body,
Soul,
Heart,
All fully present here in this moment.
And all of the answers,
The guidance,
It sits within you.
So breathe.
Release any resistance,
Any doubt that you don't know or that you've done it wrong or you could get it wrong.
In this moment of awareness,
You receive one next step,
One clue,
One guidance of how to move forward,
And you do that thing.
And then you come back to this meditation or other meditations or your own meditation space,
And you're in this quiet landscape again.
And another next step presents itself.
And you do that next step.
And then you come back into meditation again and again,
And you begin to walk yourself into a new reality,
A new expression,
A new version of you,
The soul,
The human,
The heart,
The body.
As we move through 2025,
This process of inner listening is going to be essential because so many planets are shifting signs all at the same time this year.
We are entering a portal that we have never experienced like we are going to in 2025.
And we are so ready for this magic.
We have been preparing for this for ages,
Our whole life,
Past lives,
Like we have been waiting for this moment of perfect alignment.
So if you feel that buzz in your body that you get when truth ripples through the quantum field and lands in your awareness,
Beautiful.
You got it.
You got it.
You're ready for this.
Plant your feet firmly on the ground.
Bring any resistance all the way down through your body to your feet into the earth.
Release what is ready to go.
Relax your muscles.
There's one more piece of astrology to weave in as we start to complete this meditation,
And that is the energy of Mars.
Mars is about action.
It is a fiery,
Powerful energy in astrology,
And Mars is square,
Square conjunct the full moon.
It's aspecting the full moon.
And when Mars and Cancer meet,
There sometimes is friction.
So what do we do?
We come into our center again.
We breathe.
We release any doubt,
Any fear,
Any resistance,
Any tension.
We feel that calm inside of ourselves,
That blank white slate of new potential when the snow falls and there's a hush and it's quiet.
We match that inside of ourselves,
And then when we tap into Mars,
It's for the power,
The inspired action,
The momentum that Mars can bring to our awareness.
We release any resistance,
Any conflict energy.
We pause.
We find our center before we speak.
We breathe before we ever react.
We use our breath and our yawns to move any energy that is not feeling calm,
Quiet,
Hush.
And with our feet firmly planted on the ground,
We allow Mars to give us that oomph to move in alignment from an inspired clarity within.
This is how we weave all of the astrology together to support us in our human journey.
The universe at our back,
Not fighting against us.
So feel all of this information that I've shared as a hand gently supporting your lower back,
Holding you steady.
See the universe as a hand strengthening the base of your spinal column.
Release anything that is not in alignment with you absolutely trusting yourself and moving from a place of inspired action.
Tap into that quiet inside of yourself.
Beautiful.
And when you feel ready,
Go ahead and open your eyes.
Allow yourself to take in the external environment and bring it into harmony,
Into alignment with what you just saw and felt and experienced inside of yourself.
Both are true.
Both are real.
What you see inside is just as real as what you see outside with your eyes open.
So relax your muscles and then allow yourself to move from this place.
