Welcome to this meditation.
I want us to start by taking a breath and dropping into your body.
Right here,
Nothing is expected of you.
You're not here to be fixed.
You're here to be heard,
Especially by yourself.
I want you to pause for a moment and breathe in through the nose and out with a long exhale.
The way you speak to yourself was learned.
It was not chosen.
That critical voice,
She's just trying to keep you safe.
But now,
You're ready to choose a new voice.
One that's rooted in truth.
One that's rooted in love.
One that speaks to the woman that you're becoming.
Place your hand over your heart and let your body absorb these words.
I do not bully myself into becoming better.
I speak to myself with the same kindness I give others.
I am not my past voice.
I am my present truth.
My words shape my world and I choose gentleness.
I forgive myself for how I used to speak to myself.
I choose encouragement over harsh criticism every time.
Now,
Picture your inner voice as a little girl inside you.
She's just been repeating what she heard,
Not what she needed.
I want you to kneel beside her and place your hand on her shoulder.
Tell her something new,
Like you are worthy,
You are good,
And you are safe.
You can't hate yourself into healing.
You can only love yourself into alignment.
Let this be your reset,
A new default setting.
Self-talk that builds and not breaks.
Remember you are safe to be kind,
To be gentle,
To be yours.
Let that kind voice be the voice that leads you today.
