Hi there,
Little one.
It's time to slow down.
The day is finally done.
And now,
It's just a moment for you and for God.
Let's get all cozy in bed.
Lay your head down on your pillow.
Pull up your blanket.
And take some soft,
Deep breaths in.
And gently blow out.
One more time.
Deep breath in.
And a big,
Big,
Deep breath out.
I want you to pretend that you're breathing in God's peace.
And you're breathing out all the worries you may have.
Let's remember a beautiful promise that's found in the Bible.
When you lay down,
You will not be afraid.
And when you lay down,
Your sleep will be sweet.
That's Proverbs 3.
24.
Remember that God is right here with you.
He's watching over you.
He's loving you.
And He's keeping you safe.
Even when your eyes are closed.
And you're deep asleep.
Now I want you to think about your day.
Was there something that made you smile?
Or maybe something that was funny?
Let's take a moment and thank God for that right now.
Thank you,
God.
Was there maybe something that made you feel sad?
Or mad?
Remember you can tell God about that too.
He listens to everything and anything you want to tell Him.
Now imagine handing it all to Jesus.
The good things.
The bad things.
The hard things.
Everything.
Remember that you don't have to carry anything to bed except for the peace in your heart.
Now I want you to imagine you are in a soft glowing bubble of light.
It feels gentle.
It feels warm.
And it feels like God's wrapping His arms around you to give you a hug.
Now I want you to imagine that angels stand near your bed.
Jesus is sitting beside you smiling.
You are completely safe.
You are completely loved.
And God never sleeps so you can.
Let's do a quick prayer as we lay in bed getting ready for sleep.
Dear God,
Thank you for today.
Thank you for being with me when I'm happy and even when I'm sad.
Please give me peaceful sleep.
Help my body rest and my heart feel calm.
Stay close to me tonight and help me wake up with happiness and joy within my heart.
Amen.
Now let your eyes get heavy.
Let your body relax.
Remember that God is always with you.
Remember that you are loved.
And it's now time to rest for the day tomorrow.
Good night little one.
And remember you're always in God's care.
