Welcome to this morning meditation.
Thank you for joining me today.
Before you move,
Before you think too hard,
And before the day asks you of anything,
Just stay exactly where you are right now.
Warm,
Held,
And the blanket soft against your skin.
Feel your body sinking just a little deeper into the mattress.
Take a slow breath in,
And let it fall out of your mouth with a soft sigh.
Don't feel like you have to force anything,
Just let your body show you how much it wants to relax.
Feel the heaviness of the sheets and the gentle weight that tells your nervous system that you're safe,
You're home,
And there's no need to rush.
Let your shoulders soften.
Let your stomach unclench.
You don't have to hold anything right now.
Take another big breath in,
And then exhale,
Letting the night leave your body.
Now imagine the warmth around you spreading gently through your chest,
Like a slow bloom of comfort,
Like morning light slipping through the window.
It doesn't demand anything of you,
It just simply arrives.
I want you to feel that warmth travel through your ribs,
Down your spine,
Into your hips and your legs,
Down to your toes wrapped in sheets.
Now notice the small coziness around you,
Maybe the faint smell of the clean linen around you,
The softness of your pillow,
The hush of a quiet house,
The simple miracle that your body made it through the night and woke up again.
You don't need to be productive in this moment.
You don't need to know the whole plan for the day.
Just breathe,
Just exist,
And if your mind tries to sprint ahead,
Gently get it back with a whisper to yourself,
Right now I rest.
Say it again softly in your mind,
Right now I rest.
Let your breath deepen a little.
Let your chest rise like it's greeting the morning.
Let your exhale melt slowly like soft butter on warm toast.
And now if it feels good,
Place one hand on your heart.
Feel the quiet rhythm there,
It's constant,
Loyal,
And doing its job even when you sleep.
Offer yourself a small thought for the day,
Not pressure,
Not expectation,
Just a gentle intention.
Maybe something like I will move through the day with warmth,
Or I deserve a slow steady beginning of my day.
Take one last deep breath in,
Fill your whole body with that cozy,
Peaceful warmth.
Exhale everything that doesn't belong in your morning today.
When you're ready,
Wiggle your toes and your fingers and stretch out if that feels good to you.
Step into your day with warmth,
And softness.
You're safe,
You're held,
And you're ready to go on with your day.
Thank you for joining me and have a good morning.
