You can come back and listen to it as many times as you need.
Start with settling yourself into a comfortable position,
Allowing your body to relax and feel supported.
You can close your eyes gently or keep a soft unfocused gaze.
Take a moment to settle in.
Feel your body connecting with the surface beneath you.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in and as you exhale,
Feel your body release any tension.
Now,
Bring your attention to your breath.
Notice its natural rhythm.
Feel the air as it enters and leaves your body.
There's no need to change anything,
Just simply observe.
Let your breath be soft and steady.
For the next few minutes,
We're going to focus on cultivating self-compassion and self-love.
Imagine a warm,
Gentle light beginning to glow in the center of your chest at your heart space.
This light represents pure,
Unconditional love.
As you inhale,
Imagine this warm,
Gentle light expanding within your chest,
Filling your entire heart area.
As you exhale,
Imagine this light radiating outwards,
Filling your entire body,
Your arms,
Your legs,
Your head,
Your fingers,
Your toes.
Let every cell in your body be bathed in this loving light.
Now,
With this feeling of warm,
Gentle love,
Silently repeat these phrases to yourself,
Truly feeling the meaning of the words,
May I be filled with loving kindness,
May I be well,
May I be peaceful and at ease,
May I accept myself just as I am.
Repeat these phrases slowly,
Allowing the feeling of warmth and acceptance to spread through your being.
If your mind brings up any self-criticism or doubt,
Simply acknowledge it without judgment and then gently guide your attention back to the warm light in your heart and the soothing phrases.
Treat those thoughts like clouds passing by,
Don't hold on to them,
Rest in this feeling of deep kindness and acceptance for yourself.
Allow yourself to receive this love fully,
Knowing that you are worthy of it,
Just as you are right now.
For these final moments,
Just continue to breathe and allow that feeling of self-love to deepen within you.
Feel connected to this inner source of compassion.
When you're ready,
Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the sounds around you,
To the feeling of your body in your space.
Gently open your eyes and appreciate the feeling of self-love you've cultivated.
Take one final gentle breath in and a slow releasing breath out.
