Hi,
Welcome to this 5-minute inner peace meditation.
You can come back and listen to it as many times as you need.
Start with settling yourself into a comfortable position,
Allowing your body to relax and feel supported.
You can close your eyes gently or keep a soft,
Unfocused gaze.
While you're taking a moment to settle in,
Feel your body connecting with the surface beneath you.
Let your shoulders drop and gently relax your jaw.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in and as you exhale,
Feel your body release any tension.
Now,
Bring your attention to your breath.
Notice its natural rhythm.
Feel the air as it enters and leaves your body.
There's no need to change anything,
Just simply observe.
Let your breath be soft and steady.
For the next few minutes,
We'll focus on cultivating a feeling of inner peace.
Imagine that peace is like a gentle warm light,
Glowing softly within the center of your chest.
With each inhale,
Imagine this light growing a little brighter,
Spreading gently throughout your entire being.
With each exhale,
Feel that peace expanding outwards,
Filling every cell of your body.
As you breathe,
Allow this warm,
Peaceful light to soothe any areas of tension or discomfort.
If your mind is busy,
Gently bring your attention back to this inner light and the sensation of your breath.
Thoughts might arise and that's okay.
When they do,
Simply acknowledge them and then gently guide your focus back to the light of peace within you.
No need to engage with the thoughts,
Just let them pass like clouds in the sky.
Rest in this feeling,
Allow the soft,
Warm light of peace to embrace you fully.
There's nothing you need to do,
Nowhere you need to be,
Except right here,
Right now,
Cultivating this sense of inner calm.
We will now spend a few moments in silence,
Allowing you to keep observing your breath and exploring your inner peace.
For these final moments,
Just continue to breathe and allow that feeling of peace to deepen.
Notice the quiet stillness that resides within you.
When you're ready,
Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to your body and the space that you are in.
Gently open your eyes and take a moment to appreciate the feeling of inner peace you've cultivated.
Every time you meditate,
You're building a habit of presence and awareness.
Take one final gentle breath in and a slow releasing breath out.
Namaste
