Take a moment to close your eyes if that feels right to you,

Each morning,
It can be helpful to remember that we as humans all want the same thing.
We all want to be happy.
Everyone we meet and everyone we know wants to be happy.
We ultimately all have the same goals.
Everyone wants to be loved.
There is no one who does not want love.
Deep down,
We all want to be loved.
And deep down,
We all want to feel connected.
To feel connected with each other,
With our community,
And with other human beings.
We all want the same thing,
To be happy,
To be loved,
And to feel connected.
It is helpful each day to appreciate yourself and to appreciate others.
We can do this by noticing any judgments that we have of ourselves,
Criticisms or judgments that we have against ourselves,
And seeing if we can soften those judgments or simply let them go.
Noticing any judgments that we have of others,
Especially sharp criticisms or judgments,
And seeing if we can soften those judgments.
Take a moment to breathe in and cherish yourself,
And breathe out,
Cherishing others.
Again,
Take a moment to breathe in,

And during the day,
Extend that attitude to everyone you meet.
We are all the same.
Remember,
We all want the same things,
To feel happiness,
To feel love,
To feel connected.
Extend this attitude.

To send this energy,
To show this love,
Not to those around you,
To those you meet,
To those in your neighborhood,
To those in the world.
