Affirmations are a wonderful way to begin to talk to yourself about the positive changes you would like to cultivate in your life. Through repetition, we have the power to shift old patterns of thought that can hold us back. Affirmations work best when we repeat them in a meditative state and feel them with our entire being. One way to think of it is: that it's like we are creating new neural pathways or grooves in our subconscious that promote the feeling tones of what we desire. When we take the time to focus on how we want to feel, live, and share in our lives this creates a ripple of energy that draws to us, like a magnet, what we DO want. (This same thing happens when we focus on what we don't want...). In the living of life, we pick up habits, stories, and beliefs that don't serve us but we have the power to change things in our lives simply by our intentions and thoughts!
