Good morning,
Good evening,
Good afternoon,
Wherever you may be,
Whatever you may be doing,
Hello,
Thank you and welcome again.
My name is Thariruma Ndawarara and I'm a teacher here on Insight Timer.
I really try and talk and teach about self and returning to self and the importance of having a solid relationship with self.
I also tend to do more morning meditations and sleep meditations so and welcome to this morning affirmations practice and let's just jump straight into it.
We start by simply slowing down and I use that word simply deliberately because we often think that our mind is in control of us but really truly at the heart of it is the heart and self.
So if we simply set the intention to slow down,
We'll slow down.
You'll find naturally that your breathing slows,
Your shoulders relax more.
So simply plant that intention to slow down.
We can do this practice lying down or seated.
If you're seated gently rest your hands on your lap or if you're lying down gently place them by your side and I want you to find a spot or a point in front of you and bring all your focus and attention to there.
For me it's the top of a picture frame and I'm in Cape Town,
South Africa.
We're now going to take two deliberate breaths and inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth and on the second exhale we're going to gently close our eyes and drop into the practice.
So inhale through your nose,
Exhale through your mouth,
Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth and gently close your eyes.
Let's begin.
Just allow your breath to settle and allow yourself to settle into this moment.
Allow your shoulders to relax,
Allow your jaw to loosen,
Allow your face to soften and maintain your attention on your breath.
Gently flowing in and gently flowing out.
Feel the steadiness of the ground beneath you,
The surface that supports you and the calm presence within you,
That calm that comes with each and every breath.
Allow yourself to release,
Release all that you've carried through the day,
Through the week.
Allow the thoughts of what you need to do today or into the weekend.
Now let's create a space of intention for the day ahead.
Affirmations are powerful reminders that connect us to our truest self,
Guiding us to close or approach the day with clarity,
Confidence,
Openness,
And gratitude.
I'll share each affirmation twice slowly and you can choose to repeat it silently to yourself or if you're drifting off to sleep,
To simply listen.
Give yourself the gift now of simply letting go and allowing the meaning of the words to settle within you.
Between each and every breath,
Breathe deeply in between each affirmation and allow the words to resonate,
To land,
To complete.
Repeat,
I am here,
I am now,
I am present.
I am here,
I am now,
I am present.
I begin this day with gratitude for all that I have and all that I am becoming.
I begin this day with gratitude for all that I have and all that I am becoming.
I am calm,
Centered,
And ready to face a new day with confidence and grace.

I trust myself to make choices that align with my highest good.

I welcome opportunities for growth even in unexpected places.

I am worthy of the joy,
Success,
And connection this day will bring.

I release what I cannot control and embrace the flow of life with ease.

I carry peace and gratitude with me into every moment.

I am open to the abundance of the day and receive it with an open heart.

I choose to respond to challenges with grace and resilience.

I am surrounded by love and support in all that I do.

I have the power to create a meaningful and fulfilling day.

I am at peace with who I am and where I am in this moment.
I am at peace with who I am and where I am in this moment.
I am capable,
Strong,
And ready to move forward with intention.
I am capable,
Strong,
And ready to move forward with intention.
I am whole,
I am complete,
Just as I am.
I am whole,
I am complete,
Just as I am.
And the last one,
I am enough,
Exactly as I am,
In this moment and always.
I am enough,
Exactly as I am,
In this moment and always.
Let's take a long,
Deep breath in through our nose and hold it at the top.
And then a long,
Gentle exhale to close that container of affirmations.
So inhale through the nose,
Hold it at the top.
Exhale through the nose,
Hold it at the top.
Place now one hand on your heart and the other hand where naturally you want to place it,
Be that on your stomach,
Your chest,
Also on your heart,
Your throat.
Just allow that connection to be created.
And allow the realities of those words,
Those affirmations to settle within.
And as you do that,
Whether you're drifting off to sleep or about to begin your day,
See yourself moving through your day with intention,
An open heart,
A clear mind.
And as we begin to close,
We'll take one final deep breath to close our container.
So in your own time,
A deep inhale and an exhale.
And let's bring attention back to your body.
Feel the support of the surface beneath you,
The rhythm of your breath,
The temperature in the room,
Hear the sounds that are drifted away,
Allow them to circle back in.
Roll your shoulders,
Your neck,
Bring warmth to your body.
And we'll take a breath in and an exhale.
And as we began on the second deliberate exhale,
We'll gently open our eyes.
So inhale,
Exhale,
Inhale,
Exhale,
Gently open your eyes.
Bring yourself back.
And carry with you the calm and clarity of this moment,
Either into sleep or into your day.
Thank you for sharing this space with me today.
And as you move forward,
Know that you are grounded,
Capable,
And ready and able to embrace whatever comes your way.
And importantly,
Remember that you are enough.
