Begin by allowing yourself to settle into your seat.
Let the body be supported.
And allow yourself to arrive without needing to hold everything together.
Allow the shoulders to soften.
Relax the jaw.
Unclench the hands.
Today we will explore authenticity together.
Not becoming someone new.
But gently returning to who we already are.
Beneath the masks,
Defenses.
Expectations.
And patterns that no longer serve us.
Authenticity is living in alignment with what is true for you.
Authenticity asks us to practice honesty.
Accountability.
Acceptance.
Gratitude.
And the willingness to allow ourselves to simply be.
Bring awareness to your breath.
Without changing anything yet.
Just notice.
Notice the inhale.
Notice the exhale.
Inhale slowly through the nose.
And exhale slightly longer than the inhale.
Inhale through the nose.
And hold at the top.
Then gently exhale through the mouth.
Again,
Inhale safety.
Exhale pressure.
One more time.
Inhale honesty.
Exhale the need to pretend.
Now gently notice where your body meets the chair.
Your feet against the floor.
The temperature of the room.
The sounds around you.
This helps remind the nervous system.
I am here.
I am safe enough in this moment.
And I don't need to perform right now.
Finding Authenticity.
Imagine yourself standing at the beginning of a quiet path.
That leads to a secret beach.
It is early in the morning.
The air is cool and still.
There is a softness in the light.
The path before you feels familiar somehow,
As though this place has always existed inside you.
As you begin walking.
Notice the details around you.
The sand between your toes,
The scent of sulfur in the air.
The movement of the palms,
The gentle breeze on your skin.
With every step,
You begin letting go of roles or identities that you have carried.
The role of needing to please everyone.
The role of needing to appear strong all the time.
The role of pretending you are okay when you are not.
You don't need to force these rules away.
Just notice them gently falling.
Or shutting behind you as you continue walking.
Ahead,
You notice a small clearing.
In the center is a calm body of water,
Still,
Quiet,
Reflective.
Walk toward the water slowly.
As you kneel beside it,
The surface becomes like a mirror.
But this mirror does not reflect who the world told you to be.
It reflects your authentic self.
The self beneath fear.
Beneath shame and performance.
Beneath addiction.
Beneath Survival.
Take a moment.
To notice what you see.
Not just physically.
Energetically.
What emotions are present?
What qualities do you notice?
Do you see and feel strength?
Tenderness.
Honesty.
Wisdom.
Humility.
Or peace.
Now imagine this authentic version of you looking directly back into your eyes.
And without judgment.
They begin speaking to you.
Maybe they say.
You no longer need to hide.
You are allowed to be imperfect.
You are allowed to heal slowly.
You are allowed to tell the truth.
You are allowed to take accountability without shame.
You are allowed to live free.
Notice how your body responds hearing this.
Where do you feel softening in the body?
Where do you feel resistance?
Just simply notice.
Now imagine this authentic self.
Placing something in your hands.
Maybe it's a symbol.
An object.
A word.
A feeling.
Something representing your truth.
Take a moment to understand what it means.
How does it guide your life?
How does it help you stay honest,
Present,
Or connected?
Now imagine bringing this authenticity into action.
Picture yourself moving through today without needing to hide who you are.
Speaking honestly.
Setting healthy boundaries.
Taking responsibility without self-hatred.
Allowing emotions without numbing them.
Accepting yourself as human.
Practicing gratitude for another day.
Notice how different your body feels when you stop trying to be who you think you should be.
And allow yourself to become more fully who you are.
Take one slow,
Deep inhale through the nose.
And exhale through the mouth.
Begin gently returning awareness to the room.
Notice the chair beneath you.
The floor beneath your feet.
The sounds around you.
Authenticity is not perfection.
It is practice.
A daily returning.
A willingness to live honestly.
One moment at a time.
And perhaps today,
Authenticity simply means allowing yourself to be exactly where you are.
Nothing added.
Nothing hidden.
I invite you to bring one hand to your heart if it's comfortable.
And silently offer gratitude.
For your sobriety.
For your willingness.
And for your courage to keep showing up.
Now let's take a deep breath in together.
Filling the lungs completely.
And holding for just a moment.
And releasing with an audible sigh.
Let's do that one more time.
Take a deep breath in.
Holding at the top.
And release with an audible sigh.
When you are ready,
Gently wiggle the fingers and toes and slowly open the eyes.
May your higher power express and create in you.
As you.
And within you.
With gratitude and love.
Namaste.
