Before we move into meditation.
Let's first begin by supporting and settling our nervous system.
I invite you to close your eyes or lower to a soft gaze.
Meditation is not about overriding the nervous system.
It's about partnering with it.
We regulate first so the body feels safe.
When regulation comes first.
Meditation becomes more accessible.
The practice can support healing rather than strain.
There is nothing to force.
There is no right way to feel.
There is no need to push yourself into silence.
We're simply creating the conditions for presence.
If meditation feels hard,
That is information,
Not failure.
If your mind wanders.
If your body feels restless.
If emotions arise.
This is normal and OK.
You are allowed to keep your eyes open.
You're allowed to adjust your body at any time.
You're allowed to simply listen.
We will guide ourselves gently toward presence.
Safety.
And conscious contact.
With a higher power of our own understanding.
So now.

Allow yourself to settle in.
Let your body be supported.
Take a slow breath in.
And a longer breath out.
Breathe in gently.
And exhale slowly.
Let the shoulders soften.
Let the jaw unclench.
Let the body know.
For this moment.
I am safe enough to be here.
This meditation is centered around the idea of not simply acting as if.
But being as if.
Being as if your higher power is present within you.
Moving through you.
Guiding you.
Breathing through you.
Allowing the energy,
Light,
And presence of your higher power.
To express itself through your words,
Your actions,
Your daily routines,
And your service to others.
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Gently breathing in through the nose.
And out through the mouth.
Allow the breath to slow naturally.
Let's inhale to four.

And exhale to six.
Three.
Four,
Five,
Six.
Inhale to four.

And exhale to six.
Too.

Sex.
With each exhale.
Letting go a little more.
Softening.
Settling.
Let the shoulders drop a little more.
Let the jaw soften.
Let the tongue rest gently in the mouth.
On your own,
Repeat this breath cycle.
See if you can feel the breath moving in the body.
The rise of the chest.
The expansion of the ribs.
The softening on the exhale.
And as you exhale.
Imagine releasing just a little more of anything you've been holding.
Now gently bring your awareness to your heart space.
Imagine breathing in,
Through the heart.
And breathing out.
Through the heart.
You as you inhale.
Imagine drawing in light.
Peace,
Energy.
And as you exhale.
Allowing that energy to expand outward.
Inviting the presence of a higher power.
Now imagine above you.
A warm Gentle.
Healing light.
The light and energy of your higher power.
However you understand it.
No need to define it.
Simply allow in yourself.
To experience it.
Imagine this warm light slowly entering through the top of your head.
Softly flowing downward.
Through the forehead,
The jaw.
And the throat.
Now feel it continue.
To move into the shoulders.
Down the arms.
And into the hands.
Sense the warm,
Soft light flow into the chest.
And heart space.
And as it reaches the heart.
Feel the heart gently illuminated from within.
Now imagine this light expanding inward from your heart.
Radiating through the body.
Down through the stomach.
The hips.
The legs.
And to the feet.
And now upward again.
Through the legs.
Hips.
Stomach.
Reaching through the chest.
The shoulders.
And their head.
Until your whole body feels surrounded.
Held within.
This light.
This presence.
And now.
Rather than acting as if.
Simply begin to be.
As if.
Be as if your higher power is moving through you.
Speaking through you.
Loving through you.
Be as if this light expresses itself through your choices,
Your words,
Your daily routines.
And your service to others.
You do not have to force that.
You can simply allow it.
As you breathe through the heart.
Imagine yourself becoming a channel.
Receiving light and offering light.
This energy that heals you.
Can also shine outward.
And heal others.
And quietly within yourself.
You may repeat.
I am open.
I am willing.
I am guided.
Now gently bring your awareness.
Back to the heart.
Gently listen to this prayer with your heart.
Higher power of my understanding.
Help me find you.
In the people and events of my day.
As you move through your day,
See if you can practice being as if.
As if your higher power walks beside you and within you.
Breathes through you.
And expresses itself through your words,
Your actions.
And your presence.
Begin to deepen your breath.
Wiggle your fingers.
Your toes.
And when you're ready.
Softly open your eyes.
May your own light and energy express and create.
