Welcome to the Elemental Journey meditation.
I'll invite you to take a comfortable seat as we prepare to move through this journey into the elements,
Into aspects of nature and our own wild,
Uninhibited selves.
So you leave feeling centered,
Grounded and integrated with all of the parts of yourself,
The elements and the world around you.
Take your seat,
Make yourself comfortable and allow yourself to feel grounded and settled as you come into stillness.
Start to connect with your breath,
Bringing the inhales and exhales in and out through the nose deeply and slowly,
Allowing your mind to begin to rest on the wave of the breath,
Moving in and out of your body.
Notice the root of your spine,
Feeling very connected to the earth,
Feeling your seat so grounded,
Feeling your lower body melting into the place where you're sitting.
Feel your shoulders relax,
Feel your upper body float lightly,
Feel the crown of your head being effortlessly raised towards the sky.
Breathe in and out,
Allowing your breath to be an anchor here in the present moment,
An anchor for all the parts of you to arrive.
Begin to notice any thoughts which come into your mind,
Allow those thoughts to happen as thoughts do,
Notice them like bubbles bubbling up out of a brook or a stream.
Let those bubbles rise to the surface and pop effortlessly,
Seeing those thoughts happen and finish.
Your attention is on the breath,
Breathing in and breathing out.
As the body is completely relaxed,
Bring your awareness to the lower half of your body,
To your roots,
To the base of your spine.
Imagine that your spine is a pole extending down beyond your seat into the center of the earth.
Feel this strong connection to the core of the earth,
Receiving all the energy from the earth.
I invite you now to bring your attention onto the element of earth and the way it lives inside of you.
Feel your roots grow into the earth.
So now where your spine is rooting you down in the straight line to the earth,
Feel roots expand from the lower half of your body,
Just as they would from the base of a tree.
And we know that as high and expansive as a tree's branches reach,
Its root system is every bit,
If not more so,
As deep and reaching into the earth.
Allow this root system to hold you.
Feel connection to the element of earth.
Imagine your body spread out onto the earth,
Feeling the soil,
Feeling the grass on all parts of you,
Feel completely held even heavy on the earth.
Breathe in and out.
The earth element is one of density and grounding and foundation.
It brings us stability.
It brings us security.
The earth is the ground that we walk upon.
It's what holds us down.
It's what keeps us firm,
Gives us foundation for the rest of our life to blossom.
Feel where the earth is living in your body.
Where are you feeling the stability,
This foundation,
This rootedness?
Breathe in and out.
The earth is related to abundance and prosperity.
There's always enough.
Look at the earth.
It is a constant supply of enoughness and abundance.
When we see the forests blossom,
The gardens,
The flowers,
The fish in the sea,
It's completely abundant.
A surplus of life.
Allow this energy of surplus and abundance to flow through your being.
Breathe in and out.
Where do you notice the earth element in your life?
As you feel your roots grow and holding you so strongly into the earth,
Where do you need more roots,
More security,
More sense of enoughness and abundance in your life?
Breathe in and out and send the earth element to those places with your breath.
Feeling so rooted,
So grounded and so stable here.
And from this place of rootedness,
We begin to explore.
Our body begins to move slightly.
Allow your spine to begin to move in small undulations now,
Maybe making some small spinal circles.
Very gently,
Maybe just moving at the hips back and forth around and around.
Maybe exploring a figure eight as we invite the element of water into our being.
Water.
Water which is flowing.
It is a constant energy of movement,
Of flow,
Of newness,
Of life.
And we need the earth element to hold the freedom of water when we see the oceans and the rivers held by the river banks,
The lakes,
They are held so firmly and so lovingly by the earth.
And now that we have our root foundations,
Where does water show up in your life?
Feeling these small movements in your body here.
And you can return to stillness and feel the echoes of that movement in your body.
Water is the element of flow.
It is the element of creativity.
It is the element of passion and desire which flows through our body seemingly uncontrollably.
Water is sensual,
It is desirous,
It is so creative.
Water is where we get our ideas and we feel inspired.
It's the element of play.
It's our inner child splashing in a lake.
Our inner child whose flow and whose play and whose joy is unbounded.
And allow this water to move through your body from your heart to your sacral center down your belly.
You're moving again in some circles.
Where does water show up in your life?
How are you using creativity and flow and play?
How are these inspiring your existence on a day to day basis?
Where can you bring in more of this freedom,
More water,
More joy?
Imagine a bubbling stream,
A rushing river.
Watch the river,
Watch as it refreshes,
Replenishes.
It is one moving being,
One living being.
The ocean,
The waves,
Each individual wave constantly returning back to the whole.
Just as your energy is a wave in the greater collective.
Can you be like water?
Breathe in and out.
With this flow moving through you,
We start to notice the flicker of heat and light rising up into the sacral center just above the belly,
Just above the belly button.
Moving into the element of fire.
Breathe in and out.
Feeling this heat,
Feeling all of that creativity and play and flow and desire and passion from water begin to manifest a bit more sharply,
A bit more clearly.
The fire is flickering in our belly,
In our sacral area.
The fire is sharp,
It is hot,
It is decisive.
It's clear and it's powerful.
Your fire is your identity,
It's your self awareness,
It's your personal power.
The fire inside of you is what creates your commitment,
Your self discipline,
It helps you to focus.
Watch the flame in your mind's eyes,
You feel it burn in your sacral center.
Feeling the heat of the fire cutting through what is no longer needed.
Breathe in and out.
Our fire helps us bring our creative ideas and dreams into reality.
It is the element of action.
It is the element of inspiration moving into action.
We get to harness all this beautiful flow energy from water and bring it into the world,
Bring it into a manifested dream,
A project,
Into energy,
Into our purpose.
Our fire is our purpose,
It is our driving mission in the world.
It is our why.
It is where you feel clear,
Where you feel confident,
Where you speak your truth,
Where you act boldly and take leaps with trust that you are supported.
Breathe in and out.
And as you feel this heat rising,
Asking yourself,
Where's fire showing up in my life now?
Where am I clear,
Committed and focused?
And where can I bring more fire into my life?
Remembering as well that fire is the element of transformation.
It burns away what we no longer need.
Allowing space for the new to be born.
Breathe in and out,
Asking yourself,
What am I allowing to burn away?
What can my fire leave in the ashes?
Allowing that smoke to pillow up towards the sky,
Watching what's no longer needed,
Softly fall away.
Creating space,
Creating space,
Creating space as we move up into the heart center.
Breathe in and out.
With these breaths,
I invite you to deepen your air flow and your awareness.
Breathe in and out,
Inviting the element of air.
This space that's been created by that burning fire.
What's left is space,
Is potential,
Is expansiveness and pure clarity.
This space inside of you is your pure potential and it is infinite.
It is never ending.
This potential energy,
This air,
This space is intentionally created.
It has been a process.
You have created your root and foundation.
You've flowed through your creativity,
Your passion.
You've stepped through the fire and taken action and cleared away what you no longer need.
And now,
You are in the space of infinite potential,
Infinite expansiveness.
Breathe in and out.
And bring into your mind's eye your most expanded self.
Who are you in your most expansive?
How are you living?
How are you speaking?
How do you move through your life?
Can you use the element of air to create even more possibility for yourself and the world around you?
Breathe in and out.
Notice where you feel air already taking up space in your life.
Where are you exploring potentials and possibilities?
Where do you move lightly and freely?
And where can you bring in more air,
More space,
More freedom?
Breathe in and out.
And now,
I'll invite you to bring your attention up,
Up from the heart center,
Up through the throat all the way up through your third eye to the crown of your head,
Imagining a ball of light emerging through the crown of your head and sitting resting on top of your head.
Notice if this ball of light has a color or a tint to it.
Breathe in and out.
And notice as this ball of light starts to expand and envelop you in its embrace,
Feeling your entire body surrounded by this light,
Encapsulating you,
Encapsulating all of the elements within you,
Bringing together this beautiful merging of earth,
Strong-rooted,
Abundant,
Stable earth,
Water flowing,
Delicious,
Juicy,
Loving,
Playful water,
Fire,
Sharp,
Clear,
Committed,
Focused,
Driven,
Bold fire,
An air expansive,
Free,
Open,
Clear,
Spacious air.
Breathe in and out.
As you feel all of these elements merging within you,
Integrating,
Know that you will leave this meditation feeling more clear,
More bold,
More focused,
More playful,
More creative and more grounded.
You are whole.
You are integrated.
You are enough.
Breathe in and out.
And allowing that orb of light to dissolve away into the earth,
Knowing that it's always here to support you and protect you.
I invite you to deepen your breath with a deep inhale through the nose,
A sigh out through the mouth.
One more like that.
Inhale.
Exhale,
Let it go.
One last breath.
Inhale.
Exhale,
Release.
Place your hands,
Palms over your eyes,
Cupping over the eyes to create a pillow of darkness.
Blink your eyes open underneath your hands,
Coming into the space of darkness.
And when you're ready,
Bringing your hands down from your face to return back to your space.
Taking in the world around you.
Notice the colors.
Notice the quality of your environment.
Noticing even where you may perceive the element of earth,
The element of water,
The element of fire and the element of air.
In your space around you now and in the world as you begin to move through it.
Thank you for joining me for this elemental journey.
And I wish you a beautiful rest of your day ahead.
You.
