Welcome to this guided meditation to help you release stress and anxiety.
Just find a comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
You can sit or lie down,
Whichever suits you best.
Just allow yourself to be relaxed and then when you feel ready,
Gently close your eyes.
Take a few deep breaths,
Inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling slowly out through your mouth,
Allowing yourself to fully arrive in this moment and letting go of any distractions or concerns.
I'd like you now to bring your attention to your body.
Notice any areas of tension or discomfort within your body.
I invite you to start at your toes and consciously relax each and every part of your body as you move slowly up through your legs and your hips,
Abdomen,
Chest,
Back and shoulders.
Allow your arms and hands to relax.
And then finally relax your neck and your jaw and all the muscles around your eyes.
Feel the weight of your body being fully supported and allow yourself to sink deeper into a relaxation with each exhale.
Now shift your focus to your breath for a few moments and I invite you to just notice the natural rhythm of your breath.
So we're not trying to change it,
Just notice.
Observe cool air as it goes in and then beautiful relaxing warm air as it leaves your body.
As you inhale,
You're drawing in calm and peaceful energy.
As you exhale,
Just visualize releasing any stress or tension or anxiety.
Just let it go as you breathe in and out.
As you continue to breathe slowly and deeply,
Allow yourself to feel more relaxed with each breath.
I'd like you now to imagine yourself in a beautiful lush meadow with flowers and the grasses all around you and they sway gently in the breeze.
You notice a butterfly dancing between the flowers.
Just picture this place and use all your senses to fully immerse yourself within this place.
Hear the gentle sounds of nature.
Feel the warmth of the sun.
Just allow a cool breeze to wash over your face.
Noticing the vibrant colors around you.
Feel at peace and at ease.
Feeling safe and calm.
Notice the odd cloud in the sky drifting on by.
If your mind is beginning to wander,
Just bring your thoughts back to where you are in this peaceful,
Beautiful meadow.
Now just take a nice long deep breath in and release.
Just take a moment just at the end of this meditation to think of one thing that you're grateful for.
Just bring that one thing that you're truly,
Truly grateful for into your mind's eye now.
Just allow yourself to feel the gratitude.
Feel every single muscle cell within your body to be filled with gratitude and say thank you out loud or in your mind.
Just that one thing,
One thing that you're so grateful for.
Now just take a nice long deep breath in and release.
And I invite you now to begin to wriggle your fingers and your toes.
And then when you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes to the room around you.
Thank you so much for joining me in this guided meditation.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
Thank you.
