Welcome to this guided meditation to help you drift off into a beautiful and relaxing sleep.
Meditation is such a wonderful tool to help with relaxation before sleep.
So I'd like to start by asking you to find yourself lying down on just where you can be comfortable and relaxed.
Free yourself from distractions.
Just take a few moments to relax.
I invite you to take a nice long deep cleansing breath in.
As you breathe in allow your stomach and rib cage to fully expand.
And as you breathe back out again let go.
Just let anything go that you're holding on to.
Any stresses and strains just allow them to disappear with each breath.
And if you find your mind is wandering just gently bring your thoughts back to your breath.
I'd like now to guide you through a body scan.
I'd like to now bring your attention down to your feet.
And as you bring your attention down to your feet allow your feet to relax.
Let go of all the muscles you're holding on to in your feet.
And move through to your ankles and then your legs and your calves.
Letting the muscles go.
Then move up to your thighs and your upper legs.
Let go of the muscles that you're holding on to.
We often hold on to tension in areas of our body without even realising.
So just take these moments now to let go.
Then move up through your hips and into your stomach and lower back.
Letting go of the muscles.
And moving up to your upper back and chest and then shoulders.
Letting the tension go.
Letting the muscles go.
Just allowing yourself to fully relax.
Letting go of all the tension in your muscles.
Just moving down through your arms and out through the tip of each and every finger.
You're letting go and fully relaxing.
Just allowing yourself to sink down into the surface that you're resting on.
Feel yourself relaxed and at ease.
Just imagine yourself.
Beautiful,
Fluffy clouds hugging you like cotton wool.
And you're just drifting and feeling more and more sleepy.
As that beautiful cotton wool gives you a warm and cleansing hug.
Just feeling beautifully relaxed and at ease.
And I invite you to allow yourself to say in your mind or out loud.
I am drifting into a peaceful sleep.
I am drifting into a peaceful sleep.
I am drifting into a peaceful sleep.
Feel yourself in a state of perfect relaxation and ease.
As we draw to an end of this meditation.
I invite you to stay where you are.
And continue to drift.
