Get really comfortable.
Perhaps you may want to lie flat on your bed or the sofa,
Or find a comfortable seat.
Now softly and gently close your eyes and try and keep your eyes closed for the duration of this practice.
Now you're really comfortable.
Take 10 deep breaths.
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
10 wholesome,
Healing,
Calming breaths.
On the next inhale,
Hold onto that breath if it feels right and set your intention.
What do you hope to get from this experience?
Holding onto that intention,
Holding onto that breath just for a moment longer,
Only if it feels okay.
And now as you sigh out your exhale from your mouth,
Set your intention free.
Send out into the universe.
Let it be heard.
Now relaxing your breath completely.
Your breath is completely automatic,
Completely natural.
Check in with your body.
How do you feel physically right now?
Do you have any aches,
Any pains,
Any tightness,
Any tension?
Equally,
Does anything feel good,
Loose and open?
How do you feel physically right now?
Acknowledging any feelings,
Any sensations anywhere within your body.
Now checking in with your mind.
How do you feel mentally right now?
Is your mind racing a hundred miles a minute?
Is it calm or steady?
Do you feel happy or sad?
Do you feel anxious?
How do you feel mentally right now?
Never forgetting that it's okay not to be okay.
Now relaxing all your efforts.
Becoming aware of your body resting in absolute stillness.
Your body is perfectly still.
Become aware of your breath,
Your natural,
Spontaneous breath.
You're a witness looking in,
Watching,
Feeling,
Sensing your natural,
Spontaneous breath.
Trying not to change the rhythm or the flow.
You're a witness looking inwards.
