Sat Naam,
Welcome to the short meditation.
Take a moment to get really comfortable in any position that feels right for you today.
And now that you're comfortable,
Softly closing your eyes and bring your awareness to your body,
How do you feel physically?
Do you have any aches or pains?
Any tightness or tension?
Equally does anything feel good,
Loose,
Expansive?
How do you feel physically right now?
Now checking in on your mind,
How do you feel mentally?
Is your mind racing?
Is it calm and steady?
Do you feel anxious,
Happy,
Sad?
Trying to not lose sight of the fact that it's okay not to be okay?
I now invite you to bring your awareness to your breath,
Your natural spontaneous breath.
You're a witness,
Looking inwards,
Watching,
Feeling,
Sensing the ebb and flow of your natural breath.
Whenever your mind wanders off,
Just come back to your breath,
All that matters is your breath.
Without too much thought,
I invite you to lengthen your exhale to your inhale.
Using our breath in this way helps to downregulate your nervous system,
It helps us to find a sense of balance,
Peace.
Longer exhales to inhales,
When the mind wanders,
Come back to your breath,
Relaxing all of your efforts,
Allowing your mind,
Your body to just simply be and when you feel ready,
Start to wake your body up,
Wiggling,
Stretching,
Moving in any way that feels right and when you feel ready,
Slowly opening your eyes.
Sat Naam.
Be gentle with yourself.
