Good morning and welcome to this beautiful new day.
This meditation will ease you into the morning awakening your body mind and spirit as we gently unfold into all of the opportunities that lie ahead for us today.
Let's begin by giving our body a moment to adjust to waking.
Perhaps a nice stretch as we drop our awareness into our body noticing how good it feels to take our time this morning.
And finding a comfortable position either lying or sitting down I invite you to get a sense of your whole body here.
Noticing any sensations you feel.
Areas of comfort,
Discomfort.
If there is some discomfort please feel free to move your position or perhaps breathe into this area of your body allowing this morning's oxygen flow to soothe and comfort.
Now I invite you to notice your body breathing.
Tuning in to the gentle rise and fall of your chest and perhaps encouraging your breath to go slightly deeper.
Filling your lungs with the air of this new day and softly releasing on your exhale.
And taking a few more of these intentional deeper breaths waking up your lungs breathing in this brand new day.
If thoughts arise of plans for today that's natural we can come back to those but right now this is exactly where you need to be.
Enjoying these few minutes of presence to help you gain that clarity of mind.
And now letting your breath return to its natural flow and moving once more to waking up our body.
Just as the Sun outside of your window lifts the blanket of darkness from the ground gradually lighting up the sky.
Let's welcome the same warmth and light to our own body.
Beginning with the base of our feet.
Imagining sunlight.
Beginning to warm the base of your feet.
Slowly flowing up your legs.
Energy awakening.
Getting ready for the day ahead.
Imagine that light traveling further to your hips,
Stomach,
Lower back.
All the way to your chest.
Breathing in this new day.
Your heart lighting up and beating in rhythm with this morning.
Now imagine that warmth and light gracing your fingertips,
Your palms,
Your wrists and flowing gently up towards your arms,
Your shoulders.
Reaching your neck and your face.
All the way to the top of your head.
And now imagining your whole body full of light and warmth from the dawn's sunrise.
Breathing in this light to every single cell in your body.
Feeling this moment in all its beauty,
In all your beauty.
Now expanding your awareness to your wider senses.
Noticing sounds around you.
Perhaps the early morning birdsong or nature waking outside of your window.
Taking a moment here.
Breathing in this new day.
And now asking yourself,
What do I need today?
Just noticing anything that arises for you.
And perhaps creating an intention for yourself.
Born from this place of stillness.
Inner wisdom flowing.
What do you need today?
And perhaps imagine carrying this intention with you.
Almost if you're carrying it in your pocket.
A simple reminder of your own wisdom within that will help guide you today.
And now perhaps having a lovely big stretch.
Another full inhale.
A slow intentional exhale.
And when you are ready,
Inviting your eyelids to softly open.
Letting in a little light.
Becoming aware of the space that you are in.
Ready for this new day.
And trusting that however the day unfolds,
You have everything you need within yourself.
