Welcome.

This meditation is here to help guide you if you're currently feeling overwhelmed or in a state of high stress.

I invite you to begin by noticing the feelings of safety around you right now.

Noticing your body connected to the ground,

The earth beneath you unmoving,

Balanced and stable.

I wonder if you can bring that sense of safety into your body right now.

Giving you that sense of balance within.

I now invite you to place a hand on your chest if comfortable and notice the natural rhythm of your breath in this moment.

Feeling the rise and fall of your body as you breathe in and as you breathe out.

We can use our breath as the anchor to safety.

The anchor to the present moment of balance within.

If you notice your mind pulling you away we can always keep coming back to this anchor of our breath and trusting that whatever thoughts,

Whatever emotions we are feeling they will pass.

I will now guide you through a practice of box breathing.

It may help if you can see a square or rectangle in front of you or even draw this with your hand as you follow my voice.

We will breathe in for four,

Hold for four,

Exhale for four and hold on empty for four and we will repeat this so that you can get into the flow of a calming soothing breath in your body and let's begin.

Hear,

Feel and remembering that overwhelm and stress are often caused by the stories that we tell ourselves in our minds and sometimes taking some space away from those thoughts by using our breath as an anchor is an incredible tool to give us perspective,

Courage,

Confidence,

To move forwards with intention and belief within ourselves.

Namaste.
